Well everyone can be a bit biased when it comes to the team they support. Some more than others. He's still probably high on their victory.
Trying to look at things objectively should be the right direction though, even when it comes down to you being able/or having to criticise one of your favourite players when the guy is playing poorly.
It's probably much easier for me to make some sort of an assessment about some other team for example, than about United. Even when I don't watch that many matches by those other teams. Dunno why. I feel like I'm starting rambling so I'll stop here lol.

I'm just interested in one thing. Arnau can Andre Gomes function well in that Busquets role? I was always under the impression that he was a bit more offensive minded player. So playing him there sort of limits him, no? When it comes to his abilities and development. You don't really want to convert a player like him into a certain role, when he's clearly better playing as someone who makes good plays in the offence etc.
Now that you've signed Umtiti, he can easily partner Piqué in defence and Mascherano could fill in at the DM spot. But from my understanding, he's not really cut out for that role. He's good obviously, but lacks the technical abilities mostly. I mean in order for Barca's system to flourish perfectly, you gotta have someone there - who's better technically. Perhaps should've given Samper a chance, but it doesn't really help his development if he only plays rarely. So loaning... Jesus this is mostly self-explanetory to everyone who watches Barca or thinks a bit more so no point of carrying on, especially when you've got ArnauSG around here who understands this shit better than most.
But against the likes of Osasunas he (the Argentine) could do a fine job over there giving Busquets a rest. I like your depth this season as well. Also there's the Carlos of all trades guy Sergi Roberto.
TL;DR - Masch back as a DM at some points? Doesn't using Andre Gomes in that role limit his abilities and is he even up for it? He can do it the likes of Efe Ambrose of course. Thoughts about Samper getting loaned out?
