You are actually being serious with this suggestion. Any Barca fan knows that Puyol started off playing Right Back for Barca and considering Maxwell is a LEFT back there should be no reason for having two players playing out of position like you suggest

Arnau I know Puyol can play anywhere but what I wanted to say is why would you play Maxwell out of position at RB, when Puyol can play there perfectly and Maxwell can play his position. It was just stupid.

Anyways now with Chygrynskiy out I would say that you guys are a little ****ed.

Can you guys line up like this:

Puyol Millito Yaya Maxwell

Should be fine Yaya had a pretty good games at Cb last year in the CL.

About you Cb position you guys have an abundance of players for that one position:

Pique
Puyol
Chygrynskiy
Millito
Marquez
Botia
Henrique
Caceres

What gives, why sign Chygryinskiy when you had Henrique and Caceres. Seems like a waste of money to me

If I remember correctly, Keita can play as a wingback. So even with Chygry out, we could use:
Maxwell - Milito - Puyol - Keita

Or perhaps bring Muniesa up again?

Nah, Keita denies to play as LB in Roma because he never played there before and preferred to stay on the bench. Marc Bartra, Dalmau and Fontàs are also a good options, muniesa is still injured if i'm not wrong.

We just need to get through the atleti game, then we get pique and marquez back, so we aren't in a "big" defensive crisis... Thank god milito recovered and is in match fitness

Given their gonna come at us because of our defence, this game will be wide open, and with their defensive struggles this year if messi+co have a really good game then our defence won't be too much of a factor, but we really need good finishing against atleti

My point is I'd rather have a inexperienced LB/RB than a CB to deal with Forlan... I know Fontas is very good, but if Forlan gets a chance to go against him alone, do you think he will be able to stop him alone?

Atleti will probably change simao to their right wing so he can attack Muniesa, I wouldn't mind Jeffren at RB, with his speed simao will have a hard time beating him down the strech of the field...

BTW at this moment I would have rather kept Henrique + 25m instead of Chygy, and use that money for Cesc or Ribery, I hope Chygy regains his confidence and form...

No, Fontàs can't play in the LB, he joins barça as DMF but in the last season Luis Enrique convert him to CB. Marc Bartra is a very tall CB and sometimes RB. Muniesa is like puyol, can play everywhere.
