He has refused to play Olympics to try to impress Vilanova in the preseason. Dos Santos is useful as sub with the role Maxwell had IMO, there's also Sergi Roberto who will be serious stuff.


EDIT: We might use money of the next season transfer window to sign Javi Martínez, apparently he doesn't want to leave spanish league and rather play in Barça than Madrid. Absolutely worth the investment.

Not arguably; definitely. He is the absolute ideal partner for Schweinsteiger in our possession oriented system. He's like a smarter (although granted not as powerful) Luiz Gustavo who can pass the ball as well as Kroos. I don't think there's anyone one else in the world that could play that more defensive CM role better for us. For Barca I think they need to find another Puyol, a super determined defender who just does a "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" from sheer force of will. Not another lithe midfielder.
