I don't think it will. Cesc knows that he can't come out publicly and ask for a transfer, so Arsenal just have to tell them all to **** off and wait it out.

yeah, that strategy worked so well last summer! they got their skipper back, fully motivated, and ready to win big -- it's why he produced his best season ever for the Arse last season ...

if it were otherwise, his valuation would have fallen from the 45 mil Barça were offering in 2010, to something like, what, 25-30 mil? and there would have been some hilarious Freudian slip moment during the season, like, I don't know, him backheeling an assist for Barça against Arsenal in a Champions League knockout 2nd leg ... hah, can you imagine?

I thought it was €28m including €5m in performance-based variables? anyway, the deal is apparently being valued at €40m ... that makes it 3 straight seasons that Barcelona have signed a forward for 40+ mil ...
