And Seitaridis is a good right-back!I think Paulo Ferreira is a good player but Seitaridis want to demonstrate it too, that he will be a good replacement for Ferreira!

I think all the new Players are horny to play and to demonstrate what they can do!

Deco is a magician...but now the era is over and we must look after another player like him...

We have Carlos Alberto...logical he isn't a Deco...and i don't think that he can replace him...but we don't know if he can do it...

When he was buyed everybody said that he would be the new Deco...and nobody knows if he is it or not...we must wait and see what Del Neri says...it could be possible that he let play C.Alberto in the position of Deco...

I hope if we can not buy Diego, that C.Alberto can do the Deco job...

But we must wait and see what will happen!

Let us first wait 'till we see what this team is capable of. I believe in my team, but I try to be realistic. We got a new coach, new players and a lot of money. I'd like to see how we handle this before expressing optimistic or pessimistic feelings.

Giving Pedro Mendes in an exchange deal is the worst piece of business I've seen at Porto in recent years (even worst than Esnaider and Pizzi). And still offer Nuno Valente and money, for Hélder Postiga. I'm not saying Hélder isn't worth it, don't get me wrong, but Pinto da Costa could and should have done a better deal. He owes that to the loyal fans Porto has.

I think Porto should get rid of Jank and Mclazy and sign a new reliable striker..i mean, the only ones i trust are Derlei and Postiga..Then we have Almeida and Moraes for the future, but we dont have a solid sub for the two strikers who'll play in the starting line-up(IF Del Neri maintains his intention of playing with two strikers, cos every single coach that arrives in Portugal gives up of that in 5mins..well Camacho had the balls to do with..noone else in recent years)

Besides the strikers issue i think we're very well settled..although i believe we should have a good substitue for Baia(Enke Pleeeeeaaaaaaase! that nice german bloke must be so regret for signing for Barça because of some louzy Euros instead of Porto).

But one thing is better than ever: the quality and quantity of young fokes at our main squad..just look at the sub-21 internationals

O presidente do FC Porto, Pinto da Costa, revelou que o plantel dos bicampeões portugueses ficou fechado com a contratação de Hélder Postiga aos ingleses do Tottenham.
Na apresentação oficial do internacional português, o dirigente "azul-e-branco" revelou ter conversado com o treinador italiano Luigi del Neri sobre o lote de jogadores colocados à sua disposição, tendo este revelado grande "satisfação" pelas contratações dos "dragões", fechadas com Hélder Postiga.

"O plantel (com a chegada de Hélder Postiga) fica como idealizado. O treinador disse que estava contente com os jogadores que tem. Não é preciso mais ninguém. Não há mais nenhum reforço!", frisou.

Pinto da Costa esclareceu que o brasileiro Luís Fabiano deixou de ser hipótese - "vai para o Barcelona e será emprestado por um ano" -, e afirmou desconhecer propostas para qualquer outro jogador "azul-e-branco".

"Alguns jornais já venderam o Nuno Valente, mas eu não. Dos 30 jogadores que temos, 24 irão para estágio e os seis que estiveram no Europeu chegarão apenas dia 26. Cinco terão de sair, mas não é nenhum que esteve no Euro'2004", explicou.

O líder lembrou ainda que o avançado Hugo Almeida poderá sair para o Boavista a título de empréstimo - "caso seja dispensado pelo treinador" -, e confirmou a saída de Ricardo Fernandes.

"Ricardo Fernandes não vai para estágio e será emprestado. Para quem? Isso terão de lhe perguntar a ele ou ao seu empresário. O Hugo Almeida pode ir para o Boavista porque aceita ser emprestado, caso seja dispensado, e há compromisso com o clube relativo à transferência de Raul Meireles para o FC Porto".

Pinto da Costa renovou a ambição de grandes conquistas, depois de na época passada ter vencido a Liga dos Campeões e a Superliga, mas pediu para não se fazerem comparações entre o "passado glorioso" e o futuro do clube.

"Não estou preocupado com a fasquia, porque o treinador vem para treinar e não para o salto em altura. Vamos abraçar a nova época, como se tivéssemos perdido tudo o ano passado. O importante é olhar para o futuro com esta equipa renovada", concluiu o dirigente.

I still believe that he will come. Diegos father already made a deal with Porto, the deal is only waiting that the 2 clubs agree each other on the transfer fee. Besides Pinto da Costa was very specific in telling that Luis Fabiano is no longer a possibility but he didn´t mention Diego. I think that it´s a strategy for Santos low the price.

Then all the lights go off, the x-files song starts to play, ppl get scared ****less, music stops, lights go on, ppl hold their breaths in awe..........................................................Diego is standing in the middle of the pitch with a Porto uniform on.

Nodody knows...but you don't know if Del Neri wants a #10...

It could be that in the system that Del Neri make a REAL #10 don't exsist.

But Pinto da Costa said nothing of Diego...he didn't said that he wouldn't come...All is Possible...

Our team will be very strong, that's a fact, but i'm still wondering if Pinto da Costa was telling the truth when he said that we won't sign any more players... i think we still need a real number 10! Diego is the perfect choice for me... let's see what happens.

5 new players were finally presented today: Raul Meireles, Areias, Rossato, Pepe and Paulo Assunçao!

Only Nuno Valente, Costinha, Maniche, Hélder Postiga, Seitaridis and Ricardo Carvalho werent present today! They'll continue their holidays since they were in Euro2004!

Ibarra is still uncertain of his future! Only joined the team at lunch, his late appearence kinda pissed Pinto da Costa! He's a good player but i dislike this mercenary!

Pinto da costa already said in the media a few days ago that he already signed with Porto. In more than 20 years of being president i don´t remember one single time that after he said that a player signed for Porto turned out to go to another club so...

Todays OJOGO edition says Hugo Viana manager Jorge Mendes had a reunion with Pinto da Costa this afternoon, offering a deal with the Portuguese youngster!

Hugo Viana didnt join Newcastle squad tour, and he'll be at Porto during this week to take care of personal businesses!



His this possible? Hugo Viana is unhappy at Newcastle, they dont see him as a 1st option, FCPorto needs a nº10, someone to organize the team play, setting the pace, and Diego deal seems getting far and far, taking an eternity, probably vanishing!
