Female Teacher Charged With Sex With 3 Students

TULARE, Calif. -- A first-year female high school teacher has been charged with having sex with three of her male students in Tulare, Calif.

Tulare police said a staff member at Tulare Western High School went to administrators after hearing rumors that Elizabeth Stow, 26, was having sex with the teens.

All three students are 17 years old, and two are cooperating with police, authorities said.

Students said Stow liked to party with the kids and was friendly with boys in her class.

"They started checking with students ... and they found the name of one student who did admit to being involved with this teacher," said Jerry Breckinridge of the Tulare Police Department.

"I don't feel that this is something that should be going on at any school, let alone here at Tulare Western," said parent Mary Ann Luis.

Stow resigned Monday, the same day she was arrested.

Authorities said she was released after posting $10,000 bond.

The Stow case is the latest nationally publicized incident involving alleged sexual misconduct by a female teacher with male students.

There's one or two teachers at my school I'd LOVE to get inside. In England where the age of consent is 16, I wouldnt have thought there was anything wrong with this at all, as long as the boys consented. Looking at her pic, I personally wouldnt, but hey, maybe the kids were total munters too.

Are you kidding me? Kids grow up fast these days. Back when I was younger (16) you'd look a bit strange if someone from your class had sex. Right now 14 isn't even that weird over here...
