Fifa 06 Manager Mode Question

Hello all. three weeks ago i bought fifa 06 PS2 version.

i have just finished my first season as manager of borrussia dortmund. it has been a great season, i finished 6th and i got full support from the fans and chairman. (95 on job security and 99 on fan support)

my question is regarding the european cups. while playing manager mode, if i finish as champion or at one of the high places of the league - do i go to any european cup at the next season? why is it i have this feeling that the answer is no?

this issue will make a lot of difference playing this game and i hope the answer is yes and there is a champions league or UEFA cup in this game.

You do get the option of playing in Europe if you finish high enough, don't know what the cut-offs are for each league, I've only just started my first season playing the EPL.

I think in the German league you made the cutoff, im not exactly sure because in my career mode when I qualified in Europe I finished in 5th with Cologne... but I think you should be able to qualify

Sadley i finished 6th in the league and did not qualify to UEFA CUP.
now tell me, if there are such tournaments such as UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE and UEFA CUP in manager mode, how come there is no option to play these tournaments as a single tournament, outside of the manager mode?

The top three in Germany go to the champions league, and then 4th and 5th as well as the cup winner go to the uefa cup, i guess that also applies to the game as well

hmm i had always thought it was the top four like in spain, italy, france, and england
