There appears to be no difference between the quality of play from the computer between Amateur and Semi-Pro. That means ppl such as myself who are utter garbage at games, struggle to win even on amateur level. If EA Sports want to make a clone of PES then why bother making FIFA at all? Bring back the Arcade style of old and leave simulation to Konami I say!

U can't change the existing players Faces and Hair.

When U create a player he has his back to u so u are trying to create a face u can't even see!

well for player creation problem i think you can rotate the player to which ever direction u want using the right analogue
so in keyboard it will be using shift + arrows keys give it a try

If your struggling to win on amatuer then play more and get better, dont blame the game. Its not perfect sure, but that point has been belaboured beyond the point of reason.
To complain that the game is too hard on amateur and its the games fault on a forum where most people would rack up double figures on amateur is hardly goin to win you a lot of sympathy buddy.

Yes that is one reason!

:) having said that, in previous fifa games even i found the amateur easy peasy whereas i find the amateur level on fifa 06 more like the semi-pro of previous years and i don't notice any difference between amateur and semi-pro this year.

so your actual grievance is that there is not enough difference between the difficulty levels?
I'm not sure i completely agree with you there.
I started on Semi-pro, just to make sure i could get a feel of the controls if they were different to 05. I quickly moved up to Pro and found that there was not much difference in difficulty in changing. I have just been promoted to the Prem (with Leeds...obviously :) ) and i changed to world class in the last few weeks of the championship season.
World class is definatly harder tho, ive lost 2 games and drawn one (to a 9 man Birmingham to my utter shame.... :rolleyes: )

So to the experianced gamer i would say World Class is the way to go, but if you struggle with Amateur then i can only say you need to play more, move the ball faster, dont use the through ball button too often because you can find sapce and get around defenders just as well using the placed pass button.

right ive had it a few days now and here's a few more things i've noticed.

Auto player switching doesn't work.

players don't have magnetic boots now, even on amateur level so passing is the same as PES.

Even if the PC takes a terrible team their passing is still incredible and they can out sprint you too.

It's a piece of nonsense and EA have pandered to the so-called "hardcore gamers" instead of children, of which i have 2 old enough to play the game, and who games like FIFA really should be aimed at.

Your demographic is a nightmare and why FIFA continues tosuck every single year; play Super Mario Soccer or something; if EA is going to occupy the FIFA license, they have a responsibility to offer an authentic football experience,not give us childish crap. You want childish crap, advocate for something else. Now, you ARE right in submitting that FIFA cannot serve two masters; the result is in fact FIFA 06, which fully satisfies neither "master."

I'm just saying that those who want FIFA to be continuously "dumbed-down," instead of having their kids play children's versions of soccer, drive me nutz.

And for my next complaint; Why can't u choose ur team's style of play before a match now?

u have to wait until a match is starting then press buttons to change to either defensive or all out attack!

thats how I felt when I first played fifa 05 but you just keep playing and it comes. I was struggling to beat teams and most of my scores were 1-0s or 0-0s but now I can easily hammer a team 10-0 in ametuer and I never play it or even semi-pro at that.

This person needs severe help...

They want the game aimed at young children and people not good enough to win on amateur level. I have an 8 year old cousin who can beat amateur teams most of the time and she's a girl! How bad do you have to be to find amateur too difficult?

They they're complaining about not being able to change the syle of play pre-match when it literally takes less than half a second to do it in-game!!!!! Is that not just being freaking picky for the sake of it? "Oh no, it takes me a whole 0.5 seconds to change my playing style!!!"

They don't take the time to figure out you can rotate the player and whine about it - how dumb is that?

Go and buy "backyard soccer" or some other lame soccer simulation aimed at 6 year olds if you want an easy game. EA shouldn't have to deny tens of millions of people worldwide a chance to have a realistic simulation just so a handful of people with no opposable thumbs can play at the level of the average 6 year old!

Sorry, but this is the dumbest post we've had on here all year!

Th main point of my thread WASN'T that i'm crap at FIFA 06 cos it's too hard.

If u read it then u will know i'm crap at EVERY game. That's not my issue.

What I hear from my own kids and their mates is that they miss the lightning fast arcade style of FIFA when they play against each other. On the point of simulation v arcade; well PES is a simulation style game. Also to the ppl saying buy a game aimed at little kids I would say that part of the fun for kids is being able to play as all their favourite teams and players. That what always gave FIFA a commercial headstart on PES. The fact that they had the real teams and player names and a pretty simplistic gameplay.

Have I made myself clear this time?

The Wolf - XBox360 Report - Day 1

The XBox 360 is crap. There's nowhere to put the games or plus any leads in. The console is too brightly colored and doesn't match any of my furniture.

This machine is clearly crap because it took me 4 days to figure out that I can't play any games on it. No console should take a user 4 days to work out so obviously it's Microsoft's fault. I therefore declare the XBox 360 to be"rubbish"!
