FIFA 08 PS2 Freezing!

My Manager Mode career isn't going so well, and Andy Gray keeps saying he thinks this game will be my last.

I play the match, and I get a result which I assume will see me fired.

However, when it's got to the bit totting up the monies for after this game, I press continue and it freezes the game

Every time I have a result that I think will fire me this happens...

yet if i re-load and win it works fine

this problem with anyone else?

The person that started the Manager mode randomly crashes thread was having the same issue, albeit on the PC version. I've tried to recreate this issue deliberately without success - I can quite happily get fired - but using his manager mode data file I can reproduce the crash if I keep losing. I've no idea what the underlying trigger is I'm afraid
