is there a way to set resolution to 600X480 in fifa 09?in settings it only shows 800X600 and above . the game is working very slow even after keepin all settings to low.is there a way to speed the game more?

thnx 4 the help, got the match explorer and by reducing the resolution it has helped increasing the speed of the game.but the perfomance meter is not visible as the resolution has increased, so cant see the power of shot.

is there a way to bring it up or change its position?

I think the best solution is to buy a new computer (or a game console) as suggested before. :) But can you tell what are your computer's specs?

Your graphics card is crap. FIFA 09 requires at least GeForce 6600 and Pixel Shader 3 support. I would recommend GeForce 9600 GT, it costs about 100 € and is quite good for that price. But if you have AGP slot you can get up to GeForce 7600 GT which should be ok. Memory is also cheap now. The update (graphics card + 1 Gb memory) would cost about 120 €. :)

120 € = 164 $ and 7834 Indian Rupees (don't know where do you come from)

It plays fine with a 6200. I have one in my computer with only 512mb of ram.

800 x 600 res
All fifa graphics settings on low.
No 3d grass
No dof


Download the new driver 'nvidia forceware'. makes a big improvement.

My other PC has an 82945g internal graphics chip and also plays it ok on low settings once I downloaded the latest driver.

Despite the early specs listed, Fifa is ok with shader 2.0. although your card does support 3.0

You need to change a few settings though to get the best out of it.

Go into forceware and put the card in high performance 3d mode.

I'll post my other settings later.


Defrag your computer. I use ultimate defrag and set fifa and my controller app so that they are put at the fastest part of the disk.

Increase the priority of fifa in the task manager too. And kill any unnecessary applications.

can u explain in detail on how to put the card in high performance 3d model.as i am not able to play it properly even in 640X480 resolution.

Once installed (might have to reboot). Go to control panel and select nvidia control panel.

thnx 4 ur suggestions,
tried it and the game speed is now better in 640X480 resolution.
eventhough its still slow on 800X600.
