FIFA 10 Information Thread

I'm a FIFA fan but there are some thing from PES that I would like for them to implement.
Playing PES 2009 I noticed the incredible amount of editing you are allowed to do such that it makes up for all the un-licensed material.
One thing I have noticed is the customised armbands in the game see the kit below as an example.

With the fonts in PES you are allowed to have both letter and name fonts and adjust the the number position on the front of the jersey.
Now I'm not criticising FIFA I'm only mentioning some things that they should look into since I know they check forums like this regularly.

I like FIFA, but not the original released version. I like it because i can change allmost everything (thanks to you guys) and after some hard work, i have something close to reality. Last year in june my 07 was still on my PC but after the ”great” 08 and the totally stupid 09 i dont have nothing installed right now. After 3 years i concluded just one thing: this EA departament, this EA guys, who give us the fabulous news about the next garbage, they are clueless about football. Is imposible to make a game about a sport who looks strange to you. I am from Europe, and is like i start to make a game about baseball! Is imposible to do the same mistakes every year and to add new ones. Just to repeat why i will not pay for the next FIFA releases:
-the goal mechanics
-the fantastic defence stupidity (with that stupid Charlie Chaplin collision system)
-the head passing (when the ball travels 2cm)
-the real stupid oponent goalkeeper who waits on line when i have a counter atack.
-the stupid shooting mechanics where power=altitude.
-the national team taking my best players when i have a Champions League match (but they dont even know what Champions league is)
-the tag ”stupid” mounted on every oponent player no matter what name is written on his back (the FIFA Ronaldo, Messi, Ronaldinho and others are just regular guys with no knowledge about shooting or passing and the ”special” skills are taken from another comedy show: Benny Hill).
-the crowd emotions have nothing to do with the match itself. I was winning a game with 4-0 as a visitor and at the end of the match the home crowd was very enthusiastic.
-the fault mechanism is also not real, the spinning of the ball is not real, the direction of the spinning is not real, the goalkeepers reactions are not real, the management of the club is not real, the manager objectives are not real (just promoted and the objective is the win the ligue), the passing is not real, the shooting movement of the players is not real (looks like they gonna throw the leg), the stoping of the ball is not real (Rooney dont need 6 moves to stop a ball from bouncing!) and much much more.

The key words are: STUPID and NOT REAL. Dont buy this game no more. Dont give a job to this stupid EA guys. They are living a good life because their bosses think that FIFA is a hit. Is not. Is the same garbage in different paper. They dont even bother to create an open discution about the game, about their mistakes, about what to do next year. They put a new face to Ronaldo, make the ball bounce more or less and voila! they got the job for another year with great succes. If they was interested in their jobs, the Creation Master or the other fantastic tools, a stadium builder for example, it was in the official game allready. Because a whole year, a team of programmers, EA programmers, work on this game and this is all you got? Ha! I think they put a day or two in a month working on this FIFA, between SIMS or PGA TOUR (another garbage where just the name is changed from year to year).

You want news? Just read the news from last year and thats it. Nothing different.

This was without doubt the most perfect view I found on the Internet.

Perfect, perfect addressed what fans (who understand football know real well).
It is possible that a simple game of virtual football, both of these guys and how of Konami "eternally repeated the same mistakes in successive versions.
So we're all entitled to dissatisfied.
They want a legitimate proof that these games are bad?
- For this we have the patch (where the simple editors can leave the game with more evolutionary aspects, mainly in the finished engine and graphics)

I ask the following:
- Do the producers not see that?
Why not take good examples of their own patchs.
The patches show that the game can evolve YES, with more well-defined faces, stadiums, lawns, beams, kits and hundreds of other factors.
But, however, was exactly as quoted Araya friend. The exchange of each year, we saw the same promises surreal.
This is valid for you who live here in Europe as I do in South America

Think how great simulators are available on the market?
Tennis (Top Spin 3)
Race (GTR2, rFactor, WRC etc)
Basketball (2K09)
Plane (Flight)

And many other great games...
But for football (which is the most practiced sports in the 5 continents) is what we have?
So we here in Brazil we have a vision to synthesize these highly accurate details. Yes, we are also disappointed with the abysmal quality presented. Where the progress of developing a virtual football of turtle steps.

My only suggestion for producing EA: :cool:
- Follow the true opinion of the fans;
- Collect the maximum of stuf brilliant in their own patchs.
It is because they are presenting themselves with remarkable desire, the path of progress that the game should follow.

Many of you would have seen the improvements being made to the gameplay engine in FIFA 10 PC from the news being released from the media following our European media tour, which took us FIFA Producers to London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Munich, Warsaw and Moscow. Some of you who read the forums would have seen some details that I have been sharing with you over there.

Throughout the development of FIFA 10 PC I have been saying that our focus for FIFA 10 PC was the gameplay engine and to deliver a game that you would all enjoy playing. You have also heard me say that FIFA 10 PC is not NG or CG but that we were focusing on bringing some of the best bits from NG to PC and taking the PC in its own direction. I hope that reading the blog will illustrate some of the ways in which we are doing this.
We have been approaching the development of the FIFA PC gameplay engine with 2 main focuses in mind, Gameplay Innovation and developing the Core Gameplay. This blog will cover off details of our Gameplay Innovations.

Game Play Innovation
This year we really wanted to change the way you played FIFA 10 PC. In order to do this we had to change the way you play and control the game and also change the way the AI plays against you. Looking at our Gameplay engine with this in mind gave us our 5 gameplay innovations that are unique to FIFA 10.

First off all, we’re pleased to announce the inclusion of 360⁰ Dribbling and 360⁰ defensive Movement for FIFA 10 PC.

Our complete list of gameplay innovations are:
1. 360⁰ dribbling
2. 360⁰ defensive movement
3. AI Team Styles
4. Custom Team Styles
5. Scout Report

360⁰ dribbling
Those of you experienced with FIFA 09, are fully aware that the players could only move in 8 directions. This actually restricted movement to Up, Down, Left, Right and the Diagonals in between, and for those who noticed it, it made for a somewhat frustrating and unrealistic experience. With 360⁰ Dribbling you now have the freedom to move using all 360⁰ angles, which gives you the freedom to move anywhere you want. This is the first time this is being offered in any football game and means that you will have a much smoother and fluid experience. With the right amount of practice you will be able to dribbling around players like never before. Dribbling is not the only benefit you will get from 360⁰ Dribbling, it now makes passing much more realistic and controllable. Basically you will find yourself making passes not possible before simply because you can now point to anyone on the pitch.

360⁰ Defensive Movement
Like 360⁰ Dribbling, the 360⁰ Defensive Movement allows all off the ball players the freedom to move and defend using 360⁰ awareness. This makes for more accurate slide tackles (being able to pick the exact angle of the challenges), more shoulder to shoulder defending (subtle movements allow you to press against shoulders more easily), and ability to chase and close down opponents.

Team Styles (CPU)
All CPU Team’s will use 26 different team styles, 9 attacking, 5 defensive and 12 team specific plays. I will be writing a blog going into specific details but here is a list of the attacking and defensive styles:

Attacking team styles
- Wingplay
- Target Man
- Counter Attack
- Attacking Full backs
- Total Football
- The Hole
- Box Overload
- Side Overload
- 3rd Man Release
Defensive Team Styles
- Offside Trap
- Pressing
- Zonal Marking
- Flat Back
- Clearance (Long ball)
- Man Marking (as per FIFA 09)

Custom Team Styles
Like CPU team styles, I will be writing a blog on this. However, the user will be able to use a combination of the 9 attacking and 5 defensive styles, as seen above, to create their preferred playing styles. Use these styles to your advantage.

Scout Report
Full details of the scout report will also be in the Team Style blog, but to give you a quick insight the scout report will provide information on the Team style, formation and key players.

The Gameplay innovations are only part of what we have in store for you in FIFA 10. Over the coming weeks and months I will be putting together blogs on Core Gameplay, Team Styles, Online Refinements and Game Modes.

Well, in summary I liked the styles of attack and defense, this will leave the game more dynamic.

One thing I hate in Fifa is no criteria for the climbing team. Example:
- If we play Arsenal Chelsea x (in friendly) can always put this exact escalation. Understand?

So there should be something that would oblige you to choose new escalation.
