If u dont want the game dont play it.

As a matter of fact Donmega is just plain right, it´s fifa 12.5 so at this point this should be a large patch but sure it doesn´t deserve an entire new iteration. :)

Are there at least going to be more night games or at least have the option to change weather and time of day for games... I mostly play custom tournaments and playing every damn game in bright sunshine in FIFA 12 was wearing a bit thin....

More night games PLEASE...!!!!

Outsider 87, there was a nice article by fifasoccerblog , they wrote some nice things about all these atmosphere things:

Match Presentation
This one came as a big surprise because the match presentation in the build we played at EAC was completely different to the press event code we’d sampled earlier in the year. The entire stadium now feels alive with activity during the opening cut scene, with camera men and photographers following the players on to the pitch snapping away at FIFA’s all star cast as they emerge from the tunnel. There’s also a raft of new pre-match camera angles and sequences the most impressive being an aerial view of the pitch and a brilliant close up of the match ball as the players prepare to kick-off. You even see a subtle wobble effect on the camera to represent that someone is carrying it whilst moving across the pitch.

It’s not just the cutscenes that have received a brush-up though because even during gameplay, new assets can been seen all around the stadium. Stewards and policemen for instance are no longer cardboard cutouts, instead they’re living breathing models who’ll move around the ground studiously watching the crowd. Even the photographers positioned behind the goal noticeably change the angle their camera is facing depending on where the action is, the level of detail is really quite something.

The best though, as always is saved to last because in FIFA 13 you’ll now be able to see subs warming up on the touchlines and mangers patroling the technical area. Once again this isn’t just unnecessary padding as the commentary team will pick up on much of this activity and discuss the manager readying a substitution for example. These new features were a complete shock to the system when we booted up FIFA at EAC and the layer of realism that FIFA’s presentation has always been lacking is now not only there, but genre leading.

Match Audio
Another element of the FIFA presentation package that deserves a big mention is the match audio which now reacts very naturally to events on the pitch. Whether it’s goals, bad challenges or missed opportunities the audio now seems to appreciate the context of these situations far better and most importantly it delivers the right responses. Tuning to the actual levels of crowd reaction looks to have been tweaked too with noticeable jumps in volume for the most intense moments of drama.

The depth to the audio runs much deeper in FIFA 13 too, even to the point where certain crowd chants have been assigned time frames when they should be heard. So don’t expect to hear “You’ll Never Walk Alone” at Anfield anymore unless it’s in the last few minutes of the game. It sounds like a really small thing, but oddities surrounding crowd chants can be a massive immersion killer and presentation detail that finite was a consideration FIFA 12 just didn’t pay enough attention to.

Reserve Team
I just really hope it is really up to the hype so far.

I'm more exited about being able to play and manage national team in career mode. Something that missed in previous edition.

In fact, I don't care if it is a clone of BE A LEGEND, because it so much fun than having to play in clubs without opportunity playing in national levels.

So FIFA13 promised us the opportunity, even maybe in different way or level of excitement.

Seems Fifa 13 will get an original ESPN scoreboard, too. This screen is from the Wii U version but all other will get the same.

The ESPN Latin American Commentary team will be in FIFA 13, replacing the former Mexican duo of Ricardo Pelaez and Enrique Bermudez.

A little bit of reading :)

Haven't been on the forums in a LONG time due to working on this year's game but as we approach the finish line, I wanted to pop-in and say hello. This year I've also taken ownership of our KINECT features on Xbox 360, and also the PlayStation Move integration on PS3 but today I wanted to give you a quick update on PC of course.

Really briefly, a big focus for us this year is the performance aspect on PC. On FIFA 12 there was a very long discussion thread where people were posting performance issues (on min spec, medium spec, and high end machines) and that was really troubling to see as even with people posting specs and providing files to us directly, it was still very difficult to troubleshoot. This year I'm confident that we've done a good job in working on this. Our lead engineer for PC even took our game down to MS for some insight from them, we flew down to our testing facility in the US to see first-hand how the game was playing on a very wide variety of machines, and again our lead engineer has spend a LOT of time and effort with xperf and has been tirelessly performance testing our game. I think that due to the nature of PC's and the almost infinite hardware / software combinations, it will probably never be perfect when you're dealing with a complex game like FIFA but I've very interested to see feedback even once the demo rolls out.

Past that, we've taken steps to make this years PC game feel more like...a PC game. That includes, button callouts for keyboard (no more having to remember what button icon maps to what keyboard key!), the ability to have classic / alternate / 2-button for all control devices, and the inclusion of a new offline control method, Keyboard & Mouse. Keyboard & Mouse is unique as it's a gameplay method that will allow the keyboard user to have true 360 degree control, be able to do skill moves easier than on a keypad, and allow for 2 brand new methods of control that you can't do on console (Teammate Control, and Mark a Man).

We've made changes to our launcher as well to include default recommended settings based on your detected hardware, a new Ultra Low setting for folks on lower end machines who are having trouble running the game smoothly, as well as a few other bells and whistles. Oh, and windowed mode will be included too. I know that last year we tried it out for the demo but for this year, you'll also see it in the full game.

All the other bells and whistles that you hear about for the console will be present in PC as well so you can look forward to all the amazing features that have got people buzzing.

Will pop-in more often in the coming weeks to keep an eye one what you folks are talking about and to see your feedback.

All the best.
Ian
