FIFA 13 PC Crashes Using Xbox 360 controller

Hello,

I bought the game last night on Origin (US) and the game just went live. Unfortunately, the game is crashing on startup consistently, just like FIFA 12. Does the game support a Xbox 360 controller or do I have to buy a Logitech controller? I'm pretty sure the crash is due to the 360 controller which works fine on other games.

FIFA 13 supports Xbox 360 controller. Well, if you think your joystick is causing crashes try to start the game without joystick inserted.

Thanks for your reply! I tried to start the game w/o the 360 plugged in and the game loads fine. However, the second I plug in the controller, the game crashes.

It's really strange. I have other games that support the 360 controller and they work fine with it. FIFA 11 worked fine with it but for some reason FIFA 12 & 13 don't. I don't have another Xbox 360 controller but I do know that the one I have works.

you say plug in, im guessing its a wired controller ?

check for a driver update from m$, it may not like that 3rd party driver.

its the controller. I had this problem before with wired controllers on pc and it happened mostly when I shake the wire end closest t the controller itself.

I think I solved the problem. The cause was my Thrustmaster joystick and/or my Saitek Throttle Quadrant. When I disconnected them from my PC, FIFA 13 ran perfectly. I can't believe I never thought about doing this before but it just occurred to me to do it tonight.

Hi guys.

When I try to play a friendly match with a wired controller the game wont let me. Only wireless controllers...

But when I create a tournament it let me play with wired controllers...

Any solution to bypass this?

I dont feel like spending €€€ just to play friendly matches!
