For hair and head model editing, does this script mean that we can edit them to a new model with different number of vertices?Just like deleting a component on hair model.

Unfortunately this is not possible atm. For faces and hairs this will indeed be a bit tricky to get, not because of programming difficulty, but because i haven't understood completely the bones. If anyone has searched this further, please contact me.

It may though be possible for hairs only. I am not sure but just now i thought that i've never seen bone definitions in hair models. If that is true, then i could easily do that for hairs :D. You will be able to create hairs from scratch and do whatever you can.

Is it just my impression or is this getting closer and closer to the kind of conversion the EA folks use whenever they change models from one game to another? Since the tool exports vertex position (from what I understood), looks like converting old and new rx3 models back and forth is closer to being a reality ;)
I assume what Ea does usually is take the old geometry, run a Maya script or something to adjust vertex coordinates to the new system, then add their new animation morphs (for the faces)
The stadium part of the tool might help solve the issue people had last year with lighting system being restricted to certain Id's... Hell, even the stadium models themselves could be majorly improved, if it meant people could convert well made models from various sources instead of porting stuff made for fifa 10 (don't get me wrong guys, that stuff is great but things like textures, specially the surrounding areas of the stadium and sky textures look pretty humdrum in fifa 13 - due to the fact that they were made to be used on a game based of PS2 and Xbox engine - and not because of the work done to converte them, but you get my point)

Thanks for the update and here some errors that I have.
First what is marked for importing and path:

When I import it I don`t have textures(maybe still not supported) and getting this message:

And don`t have props. When I click on Hide/Show Props I have this message:


After that, when I try to import just props and collision, I import them and thay shown in blender.

What I doing wrong?

Lights work perfect, even with FIFA 13 lights, I try with crowd from FIFA 13, it was imported, but there was some mistakes. When I try wit FIFA 14 crowd I`ll tell what happen.

A small paranthesis for FIFA 13. I have not examined anything from FIFA 13 except the faces :P Thats the only thing i can guarantee that is imported successfully :P. From what i know so far, FIFA 14 structure for stadiums is different, so don't expect to load FIFA 13 stadiums (at least for now). There is no point doing that. 99% percent you 'll get some kind of an error.

Now to the problem. It has nothing to do with the props. The problem you have has to do with the material assignment that follows the mesh creations and because of the error the script stopped working and did not import any collisions or props.

You seem to have really different stadium names from the ones expected. Thats why the script has a problem. The question is: Is that a FIFA 13 Stadium?? or a FIFA 14 one??

If its a FIFA 13 i can do nothing yet. If its a FIFA 14 then i'll try to reproduce the error, because you shouldn't get such names in the outliner :O:O

EDIT: BFL i found the problem, the problem is on the naming of you stadiums folder. Try to rename your '14_stadiums' folder to something else that does not include '_' on its name. That should work for now. I'll try to fix t he script as well :D

Strange problem! Just one `_` makes so big problem :) . Now everything with importing is OK. I know that FIFA 13 and FIFA 14 stadiums are different and did not try with 13 stadiums. Now importing works perfect! I renamed folder to 14stadiums.

Yes i'm a completely idiot. Because i used a really stupid path splitting method. I fixed that a couple of minutes ago and along with some other things i'll upload a fixed version :D:D. you'll be able to use your underscores in folder paths again :D:D

OK, that is good. Also the textures work, but I must to apply them manually. It seems that with lightmap textures something goes wrong. It seems that thay don`t appear right. Diffuse textures are ok all. Also, is it possible textures to be extracted in other folder, which I want, not in fifa_tools folder

And maybe one stupid question, but how to make meshes to look transperant in 3d view?

Tell me the stadium id you are trying to import so i can reproduce the no assignment.

I forgot to write it in the documentation as well.
If you have imported a stadium, and you immediately go and import another one, you will surely have problems with textures because most of the new materials will conflict with the older ones, due to the same material name.

If you do so, please reopen a clean blender file.


What do you mean by transparent mesh :O:O, wireframe???

Stadium ID is 147, but I trying with different ids. I have in import folder 6, 137, 147 and 228. I ever import on new open .blend file. I sow somewhere about conflict problem and never import stadium over imported stadium.

With transparent I mean for example the fences, trees. Meshes with transparent textures(alpha). Not wireframe. I want to see them transparent in perspective view.

I solved my problems with import/export
For import It must be a chankzip decompress face/hair/texture
And for export-path with NOT decompress files

Well with the settings i've made in the latest version, they should be transparent. The problem may be that the ambient and coefficient textures are enabled. Try to disable them and tell me if they are transparent now :D

From where to disable them?
Here screen of what I want:

You can see that in properties and image areas images are transperant, but in 3d view it is not transperant.

Now I understand other things too. When I save changes in .blend file and open directly this file, all changes are gone(mostly with the textures)

But when I open it with blender .exe everything is OK.

Sorry i'm just frustrated.
I do just what i'm soposed to do.....select to import the head hair and textures...and when i press import only the head model apears.......with the last version i was able to import just Gareth Bale's hair.......but now....nothing....i'l try to reinstall blender....

I'll try to import stadium 1 and i'll post if i find something. The only thing that i can tell you is that in the second reopened file, you just need to refresh the textures, in order to reload them (of course if you haven't deleted them from fifa_tools folder)


EDIT: Man look closely... There are 2 meshes from that texture the one on the other. Grab one and move it over another mesh, you'll see that it is indeed transparent :P

OK thanks. And what about fifa_tools folder and textures. Is it possible to choice where to be extracted textures.
