So here's something I want to ask.

Can you tell what all of those "DIVISION" entries in the playergrowth.ini do? For example "FORM_AGE_DIVISION". You've changed it from 23 (which seems like an aging point) to 10.

Also, I've noticed something. Young players don't seem to develop physical attributes until around 21-22 years of age. I've simmed two seasons and my CB only started to increase physical attributes when he turned 22.

There also seem to be stat caps for certain ages. I've created a 20 year old 94 OVR striker with 99 Potential for testing purposes and, although he always was top scorer and maintained a great form, did not improve a single point. Finally, when he turned 22, he started to develop his (already ridiculously high) physical attributes by a few points. I think if I had simmed a bit more, he would've started to improve his technical and mental attributes at around age 24.

Oh and btw, you should take a look at GK growth again. Young GKs still improve very well, but older GKs (aged 25 and above) don't improve at all. My main GK started to develop mental attributes by 1 or 2 points when he turned 27, but that's all after two seasons.

EDIT: You might want to balance GK_AGE_SHIFT out a bit more, I've changed it back to default and my main GK grew 3 points after one month again. Perhaps a value that is too low prevents older GKs from improving. However, for everyone else, you can change back GK_AGE_SHIFT to default (12), wait until your older GKs have grown "enough" and then revert it back to 0 for the rest of the season to allow your younger GKs to grow. Perhaps this can solve the problem, even though it might appear unconventional. But changing the playergrowth.ini doesn't require a new career and the changes take effect at once.

Well I tested this V6. And it seems that the gameplay need a lot of fixes ! for example when I run on the sides defenders don't come at me until I reach the box (World Class difficulty), Strickers no more run to find spaces... Scenes now when the camera focuses on a player are too long. And now instead of the Radio guy I hear nothing, no music. I don't know if I'm the only one to have this problem ! that's all I noticed. everything else is good. Cheers.

Question : How do I get more players to celebrate with the player who scored ??

Yes, this should work. But because I don't have tested this myself, I told everyone to do a new career mode. But this is false. You can still continue your career mode, if you don't copy fifadb. Thanks for pointing me to this. :)

Thanks for your report. The (FORM_AGE_)DIVISION tells on what age those things should matter (form, non prim. attrib. grow, etc.). I did a mistake their, please see new version. I also changed the GK_AGE_SHIFT to 1. Please see if this better, maybe it is not allowed to use 0, because it is expected to be set.

You still hear music, but is lowered down. I will take a look at this issue. :)

I also changed some things in the newest version, would you please tell me if it is better now (gameplay/in game)? :)

So, FORM_AGE_DIVISION = 14 (as in your file) means that form takes effect from age 14 onwards, right?
What's the use of it then? I mean, a young player who is not in form would develop less, wouldn't he? The default value is 23, so all players up to age 23 should develop regardless of their form, isn't this actually better?

NON_PRIMARY_ATTRIB_AGE_DIVISION = 26 would mean that players would stop developing attributes that do not add to their primary position at the age of 26, correct? So a ST wouldn't develop slide tackling anymore or so.

MAX_ANNUAL_GROWTH_DIVISION_1 = 72 means that players who reach 72 OVR would at max gain as many OVR points as stated in MAX_ANNUAL_GROWTH, right? So if MAX_ANNUAL_GROWTH is set to 4 (default), all players who reach 72 OVR will increase their OVR by 4 points max.

Sorry for bothering you with all of this, I just want to be sure about those statements. :)

Haha (just laughing at myself right now). Yes, indeed they are. How could I miss those things? :S
But this shows that you need input (from others) to learn before you can grow (in life). :D

Anyway, I will edit the things you have noted above and will take a second look after.

I've tested the new value for GK_SHIFT_AGE (1). Same as before, older GKs don't develop a single point and young GKs develop well.
I've made a test with GK_SHIFT_AGE = 7 as well. If you use 7, your young GKs develop slower (as with the default value 12) and older GKs don't develop at all.

It seems as if there are just two possibilities for GKs. Either older GKs develop normally and young GKs develop slowly or older GKs don't develop at all and young GKs develop faster. You can't seem to find a balance.

Which files did you modify for this issues? I want to test only that to see if it solved the problem.

Thank you for answering my questions. The gameplay seem to be fine now. Although I still can't hear the music instead of the radio. It's not lowered like you said, there is literally nothing ! thanks :D

Hi guys,

I'm trying to fix the energy/stamina to make players recover quicker. I don't want to cheat but would like players to recover quicker while I'm managing a international team whilst in a tournament.

I'm using the FIFA file loader so I don't mind swapping over the cmsettings.ini when a new season starts so I can go back to normal recovery times.

I have set CONSTANT = 2.0 under FITNESS but still takes to long. Would setting it to 1.5 or 1.0 work?
