FIFA 14 Stadium Swapper

i'm releasing an app ive been working on called Fifa 14 Stadium swapper,
this app is a sort of manual stadium server type thing.
you keep all the user created stadiums in a folder called eg... Stadiums
and just before a match you alt-tab out of the game and select the home team from a dropdown list and the corresponding stadium that you wish to use from the list of stadiums and press replace.
then to restore to ea default stadium just select the restore to default, and it will restore the selected team to the ea default stadiums
this copies the files from the stadiums folder to the data folder and renames them to the correct id for that team. this means that there is no need to add more stadiums to the game, which cuts out chances of error ie shadows at night time etc....

im using this along with jenkeys file loader as that means there is no need to extract files from the big files, also means that we can use a folder only for stadiums, i called mine stadium_tool

heres a wee screen of the applications



the only error i can see from this is the crowd shadow error where the stadium your replacing is smaller than the new stadium.
the only solution is to change the assigned home stadium in CM14 to a different one, if you do this you will need to update the application ini file
to do this you highlight the home team in question then select the new id from the the dropdown box and press change ID, this rewrites the ini file with the new id for that team.

the other thing i found usfull was that you can use any stadium in the list for any team, a good way of testing stadiums that you prob would'nt,
this just makes life a whole lot easier

Even if you only use it for this it is well worth it, as i said im not too sure if my app will work with out file loader

I had an error swapping but I had fixed it and it works well, thank you and I was wondering if it is possible to swap a stadium without the ui folder? Because with some stadiums they don't have a ui folder and don't work, such as (Selhurst Park, Stade De France, etc.)

You dont need to have the ui folder, it will work fine without it.

Ive just realised i forgot to add something in. Doh!
As it stands ut doesn't edit the glare lnx file to match the new id. I'm working on that just now and will release a new version asap

I think that it would be useful if the tool read from the database, so that if there are any custom databases with new teams etc. then the stadiums can be assigned accordingly. don't know how easy this will be to do or if it is too much for what it is worth?

EDIT : just thought about this, and looked at the files for the tool, and wondering if it is possible to get it to read the stadiumsetup.ini in a different format, so the stadium assignments table can just be exported directly from the database and then be copied in the folder instead of the stadiumsetup.ini file. don't know if this would work or not

ive added in the set new id so that the stadiumsetup.ini can be updated when a change is made to the database, although it has to be done through the tool its better than nothing. i thought about reading directly from the db buts thats out of my league for now.

sorry, I meant the teamstadiumlinks table instead of the stadiumassignments!! Can the tool be changed from reading "Arsenal=156" to reading "156 1" (as from the exported teamstadiumlinks in the database (would have to be manually exported, so you don't have to read directly from the db)), or combining this the team names and ids to get it into a better form with more customisation e.g. when there are new teams in the .db? Don't know how difficult it is, but its only an idea

i use the stadiumsetup.ini to get the team names so if it read 156 1 then the team list would just show id's, not team names.

you could set up an excel file with the teams and stadium link and moving columns about until u get the same format, thats how i came up with the format.
my first column had team names and second was stadium id, i copied and pasted into a notepad and replaced the spaces(pagebreak i think) with an =.

i defo need the team name and stadium id in there tho.

give it a bash, its easy to get the same format. as long as its team=stadiumid

Same Problem here. The tool works fine till yesterday. At morning ive played a few Games and everything was fine with the tool. In the evening the tool no longer worked for me. i have changed nothing,not in the system an nothing in the game. This is the error Message.

one thing i wanna ask is,,do we have to select stadium evrytime before playing the game or its just like cm14 'assign and forget' type?

Select everytime before you play and deselect/restore after the game.

is the error message about cannot create file if it exists?
if so just continue and try a restore to ea default.
thats happened a few times for me and i dont know why

i can see u have the working_dir, that should be deleted by the tool after every after every replace so it seems you have had an error somewhere before.

and also can i also ask if you are using jenkeys file loader, i see you have set you data folder to the game folder which suggests u are not, this will cause issues as u need to regenerate to get the game to read from the folders, and it is also not hot swappable(i think)
