Fifa 2002 not installing properly

I have just purchased FIFA2002. it seemed to install without a hitch. But, When I try to run it it say's " FIFA2002 is not installed properly.Please reinstall". Despite trying this I am no further forward. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I am trying to run it on win 98

Have you tried changing the game resolution in the 3d setup. This worked for me
