Fifa 2004 Champions League

First of all I just want to state, the guy who made the champions league for this game must be on crack (2003 champions cup only needed a couple touch ups to be perfect)

The Problems

-As all of you hav noticed probably, teams fromn the same country (league) are always paired together accept for one exceptions (if you fourth in the english league, you will enter the group right next to the one with the english teams, it has french teams in it)

-If you win the group, you play the group winner of the group right next, if you come second, you play the runner up in the next group

-the format is gay, you play the same team 2 times in a row and then move on to the next

- the last 2 groups G & H always suck, u get swedish, austrian, belgian, dutch, swiss, and norweigen teams in there. And u only get lucky maybe 1 out of 5 that u will get Anderlecht, Ajax, Brugge, Basel, Rosenborg, and PsV (out of every five, u might get 1 of those teams)

- the good teams are not given any respect. EG

ENGLAND:Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle (at least 2 of those teams should be in there at all times)
Spain: Depotivo, Real Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona (Real Madrid should always be in and 1 of the other 3)
etc, ya get it, it should be the same format for Italy, Holland, Germany, Scotland (should only be celtic and rangers)

-when you win, the ending celebration sucks, it should be like real, they should all pile up and jump ( all the players on and off the field and coaches) and then it should cut into all the players and coaches on the podium with their medals and then the Captain recieving the trophy and raising it the air FANS SHOULD BE CHANTING AND SINGING

- no custimization, you always play the group of leg right next to you, randomize it

I think I am done, I have never done Uefa cup yet so can't comment on it, when I think of it is probably a lot better cause u don't play teams from your own league except for the first leg maybe

I totally agree with you!

It's so unrealistic, that for example when I play the CL with juve, I'm in a group with acmilan and lazio and NAC BREDA!
What is this? EA sorted country-groups?

ANd plz ea, NAC Breda in the champions league!?
I am dutch and believe me, they will never reach the cahmpions league, this year they were as close as they will ever get: slaughtered by Newcastle utd : NEWcastle 5-0 Nac breda

It's so stupid, doesn't EA watch the Champions league on tv?
If they do, I wonder when they have ever seen 3 clubs from the same country in one group, and where they have seen westerlo, feyenoord, and nac breda reaching the ECC quarterfinals the last couple of years!? :crazyboy:

Yeah, the CL is very fvcked up in FIFA 2004, I'm sure EA will fix this for their next fifa game (I hope)

The thing that pissed me off a lot is the fact that you play against clubs of your own country, not one but two!! :kader:

Yeah, this just proves EA Sports don't know fvcking $hit about football. Maybe they should watch some games and do research next time. I was BVB and I got Siena, Bologna, and Lazio in 1 group. :kader: :kader:

Yeah i don't agree with this crap, unless they wer watching the worlds olimpic netball 4 spakas champions league then EA have cocked up!!!

LOL, so my team Olympiakos make regular appearances too. But they don't do anything good while they are there (except when we made it to the semi finals with Juventus, and when we beat Leverkusen 6-2, and Galatasaray 3-0).

But yeah, serious improvements need to be done to Champions League, because it's just plain disgusting. I'm glad they don't actually have the Champions League license b/c then it would be a disgrace to UEFA and everything the tournament represents.

yeah i agree the format is shocking, with fifa you expect all these things to be what it exce;s at but this year its a joke
Should this not have been one of the first things they thought of when making the game?
Everything about the menus and cups need to be redone :(

Stop dissin' Anderlecht. This year, we qualified ourselves for the 38th time in a row for a european competition, which makes us record holders in Europe. At home, we can take on anyone. And if it wasn't for that ****e,corrupt KM Nielsen, we'd playin' the next round of CL

Everything in the game can be modified somehow. Can anyone figure out a fix for this? Obviously it is written in the game somewhere in order to have those same ridiculous matchups every time. Can someone save us from EA's lazy researchers. Crap, I'll come and work for you EA. I think I know 10X what you guys know. It's time for EA to hire some non-North Americans to help with things. Thats the scary part. I'm American and I know dozens of things that EA couldn't figure out. It is too bad too. They make a beautiful looking game but always ruin it. Its like a shiny new car with a flat tire.

No it doesn't at least not for me. I've won it 3 times now and still no dice. Perhaps after you complete your 5 years it will but just winning it wont work!
