no! in real i think the requirements will be equivalent with fifa 2003, because the graphics (ok, they are better) arent updated so much that it needs a 2ghz monster with 512mb and geforceFx ...
i think with a PC over 1200mhz, 256mb and a geforce 3 ti200 the game should be played smooth..and i also think that everybody who had played fifa2003 with smooth framerates, also can play the new fifa in a good way ..
but nobody can know the exact requirements (yeah the ea guys..yes) we can only guess.. until the demo comes (hope so!)..

graphics of pro evolution soccer 3 look (at least in screenshots) not worser than fifa (espacially the reflections on the ground when the weather is rainy and so on..look really great)
so i can imagine that the pc requirements of pes3 can be higher than the fifa ones, because konami will be new here (performance on PC .. take ISS3 as a baaad example), but ea ... tsss. every year 5,6 games with every year updated graphicss...

yes lad!

I agree 100%!

There’s a great chance that PES3 will have the best gameplay yet again. EA didn’t have enough time to include dynamic weather, so already PES3 will have variation in the matches, as the ball physics can just change, the players’ can slip, but then all that could go and things can start to change slowly, like in real life, so already in that respect PES3 has more variation in the environmental play.

Also, Konami have being making Simulation football games much longer then EA, so they have a head start and as for Codemasters, well Club Football is their first football game I think, so I don’t know how that’ll do.

I need to play all 3 games really, but I believe PES3 will not be de-crowned yet, not this year anyway.

EDIT: Let me just add that with PES3 being released on the PC this year, EA are going to have to work harder. Simulation football gamers want dynamic weather, something so small, yet can affect the gameplay so well. I want FIFA to have great gameplay, so hopefully with PES3 having more gameplay effecting features and player attributes, things can only look better for FIFA in the future, as EA take on the worlds greatest FOOTBALL SIMULATION! :rockman: That is unless EA crack up and cry, lol.

You (or at least people like you) are the sole reason EA have taken 5 years to improve on FIFA 98! When all you whine about is licenses and let gameplay slide away you get what you deserve. If EA put every major league in the world into the game you can guarantee they'll be somebody on these forums 24 hours later whining that some reserve player in the Ivory Coast national team has the wrong hairstyle!

There are always people who makes patches to add/edit players and teams and it's no different with the PES/WE series. I have WE7 and I'm playing with real team names and real players. Why? Because somebody made a patch. We already have over 200 uniforms perfected for the game which will be made into a patch soon. FIFA has the luxury of having extensive licenses but if you think that's more important than gameplay then you'll never understand why people love football/soccer all over the world. We want an accurate reflection of what the game is PLAYED like.

I'm trusting EA to make a great game this year. I totally love WE7 and Konami are releasing PES3 on the PC so EA know they have to come up with the goods this time round. If FIFA 2004 is great I'll buy it just to have another soccer game to play but if it's crap then along with multitudes of other ex-FIFA fans, we'll laugh our asses off and never touch the series again. Some people assume I want EA to fail but I want EA to come up with the greatest soccer title ever. Why? Because close competition between EA and Konami would spur each company to get better and better each year. At the moment, Konami could sh*t into an empty box and beat last year's FIFA effort. EA will always have me as a customer as I buy the Madden series every year so it's not like I don't respect them and love their games. I just know that a great soccer game can be made but feel frustrated like many others in the community that they refuse to make it.

By the way, it's not having no weather in FIFA 2004, which upsets me, it's the fact that I want the ball physics to change some way or another, as I think it's really cool and adds realism. The only way I think the ball physics can change is through dynamic weather, so really I couldn’t give a sh*t about seeing a few drops of rain land on the pitch, the thing that annoys me is lack of variation.

nick.. this thread is about the requirements to run fifa 2004.. stop bringing your fetish with dynamic weather and making every thread onto a pes vs fifa..

It's not dynamic weather, which annoys me its lack of variation during matches and the best way to have variation is with dynamic weather that is all I will say.

As for the system spec, they will be higher then 2003 and will probably have a greater recommended spec, but the minimum spec will probably only be a little more demanding then 2003. :)

I wouldn’t start worrying about the system requirements just yet.

Damnn,I cant even think bout it. God bless FIFA

I don't agree with you there. Now on PES on PC we can change the kits, balls, socks, faces, ad boards................ but in the other hand it will feel like real soccer. From what I seen so far fifa 2004 will not be better then fifa 2003. Typical fifa game boring, bugy....

Me3 ... the opposite to what you said. You said that you get bored of a gmae if you dont have the real names and licenses ... sincerely ... I played Fifa 1 month ... then mastered evrything of the game ... now ... that's boring ... with PES I am sure I would go on for a year ... no names? SO? also ... as TristanAbbot pointed out ... ppl make patches ... no need to cry for real names!

How big is YOUR penis?
Two words for licensing problems for PES : "Edit Mode" . . .

And yeah, they made better editor than FIFA 2003 with their Creation ( or should I say Crashing ??? ) Centre . . .
