For example, my previous game against Newcastle, I played to sub Heskey in the 70th minute. However, he never got in because the ball never went out.

So why didn't you just hoof the ball out of play? If it was a critical substitution then thats always an option - unless you never got yhe ball for "20" minutes ;)

ideas for 2004

I cant remember a lot of ideas ive had but a few i can think of from the top of my head that i dont think anyones mentioned :

*conservative foul- you can make a foul by trying a conservative tackle when you are behind your opponent, the player would try and drag the other back by his arm, sometimes could result in yellow card, some not. Also, i think the two yellow card rule for a suspension is a good idea as it makes you use more players from your squad as there are hardly no injuiries.

*free-kick system- keep this system but develop it more. as when you choose the curve amount that generates its own power when it shouldnt. If you try a drive it goes high, so after you have chosen the curve you should still keep hold of the button which goes straight on to the power bar. this would vary it up and not make it too easy to score. Also, if a free-kick is on target the keeper should save pretty easy shots as you can scroe 40 yarders quite easily, feels more rewarding by beating him when he just cant reach it or it is too good.

* Injuries- players should be able to pick up injuries in various ways ie- 1. Off the field, could be injured training. 2. by falling over awkwardly- tackle, over the keeper, falling from an awkward shot or cross, head collision etc... 3. Pulling muscles- see a player sprinting up the field and suddenly up (injury prone or has not fully recovered from last injury, only 80% fit) They should have a personal section when slecting them on the line-up to show how it hapened and a general period they're out for like 3 weeks.

*Penalties- use the freekick system in penalties as people who are not very good at them, the bar would be moving quite fast or if a player is very nervous (cup final or important match). Every player seems to be the same, the free-kick power bar would also be ideal.

*Stats- Make more stats that affect in game play. Agressiveness- player would make a lot more tackles (inc. slides). Set-pieces- would distinguish who is good and affect the speed of each persons accuracy bar and also green target eg 7/7 is quite slow while 1-7 is far too fast to control. included in throw-ins (power bar as well) pens, freekicks, goal kicks. corners. etc...Another stat of World Reputation that would affect the value percentage wise as good players sometimes under valued or good youngsters over valued.

*Keepers- make a lot better in circumstances, as goals seem to be to similar. when shots are close to the keeper they seem to fall down instead of dive, they should save relatively close shots easily and hold on to shots that are fired from a far distance more like 25/30 yards. they should be able able to make tip saves like just tipping it round teh post and over the bar to make it look a better save, especially with a good keeper. Some might have tendancy to a ball like once every 30 odd games or less depending on qualtiy or even morale of keeper, like from catching off shots, crosses, slicling back passes when rushed.

*Morale- to set-up a morale you should have to specify the type of role the player is playing for the club- ie important player, rotation, back-up, youth prospect. The amount of games they miss depending on their repuation could be affected or if subbed a lot or current team form. also could work in transfere system as some players would rather play regularly for their club than rotation for yours. Players may also request a transfer.

*Game stats- if they are having trouble with who is good and bad they should take them from from Champ manager. They could also do it similar by have marks out of 20 instead of the 10 they have, there seem to be too many good players in the game. can also use the potential ablility as a percantage rise in stats if the player plays quite a few games or could rise slowly in not playing. Older players should retire and say so during the season if they plan to at the end of the current season, different ages for different people and randomsied fordifferen seasons so Keown for example could retire first at 36. but when started all over again could do so at 37 the next time.

Blehhhhhh

in-game GOOD creation centre. thumbnails for faces. field-type selection for position. more facial hair options. head back to 2001 and build on that, you won't go wrong. maybe even option to build your own face types (eyebrows/eyes/nose/forehead/mouth/chin etc). Believe me, it's what many of your pundits reeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllly want (make a team consisting of your friends/enemies, then win with/thrash them):p

1. More keeper animations. It is rediculous how he knocks long shots out of play that would normally would be caught.

Just to add to that point, give the keepers better AI, they are still too scripted!!! let them watch perfect shots go in, react late to good strikes, more intelligent on charges!!!!!!

Fix the bug on freekicks where the goalie seemingly watches easily catchable strikes go in the net

Not have the stands full of spectators all the time......

And for me......The Exact Sparta Prague Uniforms!!!!!!!!!!

Team:
-More team internacional(non to only put many national ones to the eve of world cup:fifa the 98,2002.)

EA! Just don't do new game! Collect all good things from FIFA 98 to FIFA 2003 and make FIFA 2004 Golden Edition! And there will be beautifull game!

Do you know, Guys? I collect all bugs of FIFA 2003 on my russian forum - there are already 28 bugs! And that aren't all! Did you see that before in FIFA 199x-200x? No. What happen?

The goalie just watches the ball going in on free kicks because it´s SCRIPTED ! If he tried to get to the ball he would do it easily because he jumps too quickly and the goal is too small... Shooting - goalies interaction should be totally rebuilt in Fifa...

And more...

In Fifa 2004 there MUST be a decent training mode !!!

You see, in WE 6 there is an absolutely brilliant training mode !! Even my girlfriend LOVED TO PLAY IT !! Because it almost becomes a different game, where you get challenged by the basics of football:

- Having to run with the ball through cones quickly enough to qualify;

- Having to shoot in targets on goal to get points to qualify;

- Having to make long passes on floor targets to qualify, etc etc.

It´s so stupid that there isn´t even any training mode in Fifa 2003...

More tackling animations

I want to see a player fall as another player holds down his body while running alongside him,

different fall animations would be a nice addition, as would handballs ( on the ground as well as in the air) and none of it should be scripted!!

Like Madden 2003, I would like to see turf marks that stay at the sameplace a slide tackle has been made, dirty uniforms during the games in the rain would be really cool!

The throwins have to be redone, they really piss me off, I sometimes want to throw it ahead of a player, it seems anywhere you aim the cursor, it will always go to the legs of the closest player and it takes like 2 seconds for him to process the ball before you can really do anything with it

Far away free kicks and static goal kicks should have a power meter, there is no way 99% of pro keepers can't reach the midfield mark on a goal kick (this was good in 2002)

Just add more and MORE depth into the gameplay and less in the graphics. :)

That's the best I can tell you if you want to out-shine PES, just put most if not all of your concentration into the gameplay! SIMPLE AS!!! ;)

Yes, they need these things, but they shouldn't just take the keeper A.I from PES, as you'd score and score and SCORE with the shooting system kept as it is!

You'd need to balance it out, the easier it is to beat the keepers, the harder it gets to direct the shot! NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND!

The balancing between them both would need a lot of beta testing though, as I'm sure they'd be things in there which would be crap!

Well, I don't know about the system in PES 2 because I never played, my basis is in WE6 which has an excelent shooting - keeping system I think.. :)

PES2 is very balanced, I haven't played WE6 and can't say I want to, but if the chance appears, then I might give it a go.

I'm not to fussed about this whole thing anymore, I've got my College work to do and sitting around like a cabbage wondering what FIFA 2004 will play like will only see me fail (not that I do that to such an extent anyway!) so it's best that I work, work, work, lol, WHATEVER! :crazyboy:

Getting older is always going to be difficult for getting the time to play computer games, not unless I eventually work in the industry which is what I WILL be doing! ;)

How big is YOUR penis?
One more thing, I want the player to change mood from matches to matches. You know, like in PES, when the arrow is pointing down, that means the player is currently not in the mood, and will play not at his best. And if the captain`s mood is down, the whole team will be affected.

What i want is

All the gameplay features everyone seems to also want

and

Teams/leagues from the Americas, and i dont mean a better MLS or Brazilian league, instead, keep those two and add on the Argetina and Mexico league, because imo those are the best leagues from the Americas.

And if they cant put in these leagues for whatever reason, they should at least put in 5 teams each from Mexico and Argentina in the Rest of World section (Cuz seriously, why is it called :drevil:Rest of World:drevil: if it only has European teams?)

Mexico:
1)Toluca
2)Guadalajara
3)America
4)U.N.A.M
5)Cruz Azul

Argentina:
1)Boca Jrs.
2)River Plate
3)Independiente
4)Racing de Avellaneda
5)San Lorenzo

I would also like to work in the gaming industry, mainly in the football gaming industry, I am a football serious hardcore fan, it would be very nice, but I may say it's impossible... :(

Well.. I'm going to be a very demanding tester for football games then, and put my opinions here... What else can I do ? :)

I own the PS2 version of the game so all comments are from a my perspective as a console owner:

1. Green grass- on cloudy days the grass looks o.k, but on sunny days it always looks like it has not rained for a year. Note to ea: grass is green, not yellow.

2. A creation center for consoles- This has been a popular feature on consoles for years, but in '2003' it was missing. As I said, this was a POPULAR FEATURE ea sports. Veron is not black, Baros has shorter hair etc. etc. Liverpool also need me back in the side.

3. User controlled weather/day & night- It is no good having certain aspects being totally authentic, such as kits and player faces, if we are all forced to play champion's league games in the middle of the day. Not realistic. Also, we should have a choice of weather in the pre-game menu.

4. Stadium selection. - I think that it is understood that every teams stadium is not going to be present any time soon. In light of this I think that we should be able to choose which stadium any given game (not just frendlies) is going to be played at. In this way we can choose a stadium from the available list which at least approximates the stadia of the teams which do not have their own in the game. For example, playing away against Bolton as Liverpool I was forced to play in a three-tiered oval arena, which really detracted from the authenticity. Bolton at a stadium similar to the Nou Camp? The ground of Anderlect (spelling?) would have been preferable to me, or the open square style as they are both more 'English looking'.

Overall I think that the game is a massive improvement, but I think that EA Sports need to give us back some of the freedom of choice in certain areas which have added so much to the games in the past
With Konami adding to the amout of editing available in this years incarnation of the PES series, I feel that not doing this could end up costing EA dearly. :mrpimp:
