ideas for 2004
I cant remember a lot of ideas ive had but a few i can think of from the top of my head that i dont think anyones mentioned :
*conservative foul- you can make a foul by trying a conservative tackle when you are behind your opponent, the player would try and drag the other back by his arm, sometimes could result in yellow card, some not. Also, i think the two yellow card rule for a suspension is a good idea as it makes you use more players from your squad as there are hardly no injuiries.
*free-kick system- keep this system but develop it more. as when you choose the curve amount that generates its own power when it shouldnt. If you try a drive it goes high, so after you have chosen the curve you should still keep hold of the button which goes straight on to the power bar. this would vary it up and not make it too easy to score. Also, if a free-kick is on target the keeper should save pretty easy shots as you can scroe 40 yarders quite easily, feels more rewarding by beating him when he just cant reach it or it is too good.
* Injuries- players should be able to pick up injuries in various ways ie- 1. Off the field, could be injured training. 2. by falling over awkwardly- tackle, over the keeper, falling from an awkward shot or cross, head collision etc... 3. Pulling muscles- see a player sprinting up the field and suddenly up (injury prone or has not fully recovered from last injury, only 80% fit) They should have a personal section when slecting them on the line-up to show how it hapened and a general period they're out for like 3 weeks.
*Penalties- use the freekick system in penalties as people who are not very good at them, the bar would be moving quite fast or if a player is very nervous (cup final or important match). Every player seems to be the same, the free-kick power bar would also be ideal.
*Stats- Make more stats that affect in game play. Agressiveness- player would make a lot more tackles (inc. slides). Set-pieces- would distinguish who is good and affect the speed of each persons accuracy bar and also green target eg 7/7 is quite slow while 1-7 is far too fast to control. included in throw-ins (power bar as well) pens, freekicks, goal kicks. corners. etc...Another stat of World Reputation that would affect the value percentage wise as good players sometimes under valued or good youngsters over valued.
*Keepers- make a lot better in circumstances, as goals seem to be to similar. when shots are close to the keeper they seem to fall down instead of dive, they should save relatively close shots easily and hold on to shots that are fired from a far distance more like 25/30 yards. they should be able able to make tip saves like just tipping it round teh post and over the bar to make it look a better save, especially with a good keeper. Some might have tendancy to a ball like once every 30 odd games or less depending on qualtiy or even morale of keeper, like from catching off shots, crosses, slicling back passes when rushed.
*Morale- to set-up a morale you should have to specify the type of role the player is playing for the club- ie important player, rotation, back-up, youth prospect. The amount of games they miss depending on their repuation could be affected or if subbed a lot or current team form. also could work in transfere system as some players would rather play regularly for their club than rotation for yours. Players may also request a transfer.
*Game stats- if they are having trouble with who is good and bad they should take them from from Champ manager. They could also do it similar by have marks out of 20 instead of the 10 they have, there seem to be too many good players in the game. can also use the potential ablility as a percantage rise in stats if the player plays quite a few games or could rise slowly in not playing. Older players should retire and say so during the season if they plan to at the end of the current season, different ages for different people and randomsied fordifferen seasons so Keown for example could retire first at 36. but when started all over again could do so at 37 the next time.
