Here's what I think EA should do for 2004:
-Keep up with all of the authenticity. Expand the amount of teams and players that are prefectly recreated.
-Play lots of PES/WE and try to imitate all of the good things (such as gameplay aspects), while keeping it unique. Honestly, it'd be boring if they were essentially the same game, so a hybrid game would be great.
-Incorporate a Franchise Mode of some sort, but still keep a normal Season Mode. Other modes should be Friendly, Club Championship, Tournament, and Training.
-Bring back the Creation Centre for the consoles.
-Expand on the amount of attributes for players.
-Increase the amount of options to about the level of other EA Sports games such as Madden or NHL.
-Can't think of anything else right now.
I would like to applaud EA, however, for how far they came this year. Let's all hope they can improve as much next year as they did this year. I have a hunch that they will; for some reason I have faith in EA to come through again. They better for their own good, too, because of WE6 being released here in the US next year and that could mean some major competition in the States. Don't let me down EA.
Peace,
