What do you mean that Americans know nothing about soccer, I would put my knowledge about this sport against yours any day and to the best of my knowledge the North and South Americans team had a better showing in the World Cup than most Europe teams. We need Hip Hop in this game, this is a game for the world not just Europe

U want Britney Spears in their, oh yeah, why not add some Misfits, and Snoop doggy dog lol. No offence but its a world game and a lot hate that kind of music. It has to have a beat and their good if they relate to the game. So the best way to go is dance, techno, soccer specific songs, reggae, and maybe a bit of rock

The US will never accept Soccer as a bigtime sport. Football and Basketball are just so huge. Not to mention Baseball, which is also big. Golf is kind of the hot thing here now. Soccer's not even on the radar, I mean really. And nobody even knows anything about MLS even though it comes on ESPN.

1. NFL Football
2. College Football
3. NBA Basketball
4. College Basketball
5. Baseball

I'm sorry. Just nobody cares. Soccer is a punchline from sports fans here. Even ESPN was making fun of Soccer during the amazing World Cup games. As great as those upsets were. Nobody here cared. At all.

For me, I'm a new fan. I played a lot growing up and play in leagues today... although even I admitt, I watch all the top American sports foremost.

The only Soccer I really dig to watch is World Cup (which I truely love), WC qualifiers, Premiership and the EURO stuff going on now. Amazingly enough, we get the Euro games in HDTV here (although not live, it's taped delayed). I just watched the England v. France game tonight on In-Demand-HD (HDTV) and just wow, what a game!!! Although I (as an American) was pulling for our brothers, the English against our hated hated hated French (the French aren't liked by most Americans, I'm sure it's mutual though).

Anyways, I was heartbroken for the English. I'm ranting, so I'll stop now. But don't hold your breath for America to ever accept Soccer, it won't happen. Trust me. Never.

It really bothers me when ESPN would rather show horse racing or golf than a champion's league game. I feel as though I live in the wrong country most of the time because soccer is my favorite sport....it sucks to get so excited about soccer here and everybody looks at you like you've got two heads. I'm waiting to hear "so, like, is manchester united from manchester new hampshire???"

I love how all the idiots on these forums keep arguing about soccer in america :kader: It will take time but US soccer is slowly getting better every year.

now to get back on track with the actual topic at hand, I like the unusual choices of music ea makes and I don't think it should be localized whatsoever.

Well, first thing, the real football is what people from US (not americans) call soccer, just think in the word, foot and ball, what the hell that has to do with american football (NFL), nothing, in the other case, what the rest of the world call football, is really a game played with the feet and a ball.

Heh I hope to move to England or Turkey. In Canada it's the same thing except just change basketball and american football with hockey. :crazyboy:

Generation Tone-Deaf: Proletariat's Remix (Vol. 9999999)

I've got a great idea: If you want to listen to brain-dead repetitve 'music'; just tune in to your local radio station! Alternatively, patronise your local rap 'music' store.

Can't people do anything these days, without mind-numbing cacophonic crap playing in the background?? Oh... don't worry 'homies', I'm sure that 'FIFA 2005' will be bursting at the seams (as it were) with dumbed-down discordant 'music'.

I also take exception to the view that most young people (even remotely) like rap 'music'. I have to concede however, that most people in society are just unthinking 'sheep'; and will take whatever the controlled music industry (and media) 'sells' to them.

Most radio stations have 'play lists' these days, and they must be strictly adhered to; deviance from them, by a maverick 'DJ', means summary dismissal for him. That's why so many talented bands never make it to the radio.

Let's have some melodic Indy/soft rock music- like NHL 2004!

Yeah, like Blur's song two.

Actually, I know it's off thread and a lot earlier for that, but they could do another RTWC game for 2006.
