I did not modify rosters with any outside utilities. All the modifications were done in the game with the "Team Management" option.

The only thing I modified with an external program was using fifaData beta 2.8 to edit the Leyton Orient stadium (changed to Ataturk). And I use Kitraptor and bootraptor with fifabhbuilder. I can't imagine the last three cause any issues and I used fifaData before the recent CEP fix (OckCEP011fix with no issues for two seasons (then a lockup prior to the third season due to the Portsmouth issue).

I understand but I will make this suggestion. You should consider removing this text from the CEP if that is the case:
"all the patches, except the CEP at the present time, alter the original files of Fifa, sometimes changing career settings too."

I'm sorry to be in disagreement, and am in no way trying to start and arguement -in fact prevent future possibly ones, but in my mind, not being able to use a major feature of the game constitutes a program that does indeed alter the original game.

But I appreciate the honesty. Since I have some stats I edit (mainly long sleeves and boots for several players) I'll just go back to the old original game version.

You can freely disagree, but this is a game limitation: CEP does NOT alter the "team managament" option of the game, is the team managament option that is not able to manage custom teams that do NOT overwrite existing teams and files (as other patches do). I'd like a better technical information before arguing something about technical realization of CEP: for example, I suppose you don't know that is not related to CEP the fact that if you modify even a single number of a single player of a single team in the game, you have to restart any competition and career you started before.

That's why (as I've said in several posts) I do all my editing prior to beginning my career modes

All I'm saying is that it's a bit misleading to imply that we can use every option in the game, when you've clearly said we can't.

A very similar program to the CC06 is available for NHL06. http://suchy63.rhlmod.ru/ Here is the site. You can edit at any point during the Dynasty Modes. You can change team logos, team name, city, sweaters/jersey, make trades to match real life (in your Dynasty as it progresses), edit players, and even change the scores of the games (if someone did that the way I think some people do...where's the fun?). It's a nice program. Maybe we can all learn from good old Suchy. Goodness knows I did I actually just set up a personal patch to run the hockey Olympic tourney. So I'll take a break from the regular season Dynasty Mode to play out the Olympics now
There are also many patches similar to what we see for the FIFA series. Again, you can still edit players (i.e. - sweater/jersey tucked in, left right, etc, stick brand and color, skate type, helmet brand, visor/no visor) using the equivalent of the team management screens as well. So that's all I'm saying. Based on other games, people will think you can continue to use all the options in the game after installing patches. If I had known going in the team management screen could cause issues, I'd have never spent the time editing my players in the team management screen. Unfortunately I didn't. So you may want to make that clear to future users of your product.

By the way, it is a great product. I'm not saying otherwise. I'm only saying there are people out there that will continue to use all the options in the game when you've clearly told me one of them can cause conflicts with CEP. I'm sure people come to this site, never open the forums, manage to link to the CEP, use it and never know the wiser. Never get to talk to the developers up close -so to speak. Make a great product better. Inform people of that. It would be a simple line of text in the heading, or installation.

I'm super relaxed don't worry These problems are given anyway, I have to repeat myself, for the complex structure of Fifa files that is a bit unstable when you start do modify it: at least the CEP doesn't go to substitute and alter the files contained in original big files that is another great main cause of greater problems.

Are you alterig player values in some leagues or are your modifications simply restrained to transfers and formations?. As usual there are several players in league's that breakout during the season and in no way have their real value's related to the one's EA gives them. Im keep track of the spanish league and there have been a few "luminaries" that have a 50 value while in reality they should be closer to 80. It also happens that we have players with incredibly inflated values like Ivan Helguera and Raul who are close to 90 yet, IMO, should be around 80(in the case of Helguera even less). I suppose there's not much time to correct this since the transfer fix for .11 version is coming out this week but id like to help outfor version .12(at least for few teams, it would be better for me if i had a couple of LA LIGA fans to help me out. Let me know if youre interested

OckHAM, just a question. In the official Greek Mega Patch thread, I asked Simos what went wrong and the rosters are wrong in the CEP, and he told me that he didn't really even know why the Greek Mega Patch was in the CEP in the first place, since he didn't give you his permission. I quote:

If the game language is english than you should check your fifa installation (maybe you need a fresh installation): of course the main languages in which the game is tested are italian and english.

I asked by mail, by forum and by pm the express authorization to include the Greek league: you AGREED expressely by mail to include the greek league in the CEP project, differently I'd never done the work of adaptation: your patch substitutes the polish league while the adaptation I did changes all the teams and players id.

If you really want to deny the authorization you gave just let me know so I'll do by myself from scratch again the work, but I'll try to find your mail. I'm a bit depressed by the behaviour of this forum: what does mean the post of billy about this argument? I'm spending my time (A LOT OF TIME) for the enjoying of the fifa community and what I'm receiving is just evil, criticism, free personal attacks, lies: you know you did sent the mail with the express authorization: do I have to keep as official document this sort of mail for the future?

I'm really meditating to stop my work after all the delusions and the personal FREE attacks I'm receiving: I'm not disposed to work freely to receive just insults and bad behaviours.

Ok here's what i will do:
Ill send you the team's rosters with an overall player value attach to it. I will probably add some comments on what makes a player get that value. For example. If i say Helguera is worth 78, ill also add that he is great with headers and a decent tackler but speed and strengh brings him down a lot. We will have to work with your criteria on the rest of the player's values because what i CANT do is put a number to every single player value since im working by myself here(again if everyone wants to help just send me a PM) and i dont really have the time to do it. I wish i did but reality is that i check this site 2 or 3 times a week because of time restraints so i guess is good news i have till the release date of CEP .12 to work on it.

I'll stop managing the relations with CEP contributors and collaborators and any question about this will be managed by Sweetpatch, in the person of David Witts, who has the notoriety and charism necessary to manage with authotirty this sort of stuff; I'm frankly tired of doing my free work for fifa community and at the same time having to manage users free aggresivity, offences, jealousy, childish attitude. It's indeed a mess for me because soccergaming is a forum with excellent talents: the presence of some users make impossible a peaceful but intense discussion as the CEP's one. Managing all CEP requests and suggestions became impossible too for a single thread so this one is officialy closed.

But i'm surprised how much negativity the man has to put up with.
It's like we've all been trying to dig for water, getting only cup fulls here and there and this man(Ockham) finds a 'geizer', (figures out how to put the league patches without taking anything away from fifa).

I'm not going to say who is right or who is wrong in this situation, but this is an easy fix. Just remove the stupid files for the greek league. I'm pretty sure thats not to much difficulty considering how much work he's done for it. A couple of deletes and this all goes away.

Why ockham? Why must you take everything so damn personally? Just let it go, and forget about it. CEP will NOT suffer from a lack of greek leagues. That I can promise you.

As for free evils against you, You should start a paypal site so you can charge. Send in something like $1.00 US and you can say something bad about you. You'd be pretty rich.

Why take the Greek league out??? If its going to be replaced with a better one oke, but why take it out because some guy says 'permission wasn't given' and Ockham says it has?

And as far as 'no one will suffer for the lack of a Greek league'....hmm well i take it you're not Greek....
Isn't part of the purpose of this patch to include the leagues that are not there????
