FIFA 99 with win xp

hi... I have a problem with fifa 99, i try to play in pc with windows xp, but doesn't work..... i found a post in this forum with th same problem, say it that download a patch v1.11 .... i did it but doesn't work, somebody can to tell me where can to found the correct patch for this problem

A More detailed description of your problem would help. What exactly do you mean by 'doesn't work'? Do you get an error message? If so, what does it state?

Also you should try downloading Galah's 3D update. Get it from http://fifa.galahs.com.au/.

Yeah I'm experiencing the same, when I try to run FIFA 99 it starts but than all there is is a black screen and FIFA 99 won't load.

Did you download the 3d patch? After installing you have to run 3dsetup and apply correct options (choose your video renderer and resolution). Also, how much time did you give it? I remember it taking a full minute to load when I previously had it installed. Just lately I installed it again, applied the 3d patch (but not the official 1.11 one) and it works alright and starts without a delay, don't know what I did differently though, could just be that my system specs have changed.

Another problem could be your virus scanner/firewall as the game tries to connect internet and access other processes before running. Your virus scanner/firewall might be set to automatically deny that thus making the game hang during loading (a well wild guess though).

Hmm well I did install the 1.11 patch before instaling that 3D patch. I thought that was required?

Oh and I give it quite some time, I'm telling you. I went to read a magazine before returning to my PC, seeing still only that black screen.

Well according to Galah's readme, you have to install the official patch again AFTER the installation of his patch if you wish to do so. So I would try that. Did you run 3dsetup in the setup folder?

Well I tried everything you said, still doesn't work.

I guess it has something to do with my graphic card or something.

well.... I install the 3D patch and still doesn't work....

when i used the cd game.. load the first window and i was select the option " PLAY " and try to load the game......but the display is black withaout any image and can´t to hear nothing....after

send a message that says:

.....I hope that can understand me... my english is too bad, but if somebody know spanish look this...

instale el parche para 3D, pero sigue sin funcionar el jugo y pasa lo siguiente...

introduzco el disco y empiza a cargar, abre la primera ventana, ahi selecciono jugar...entonces se intenta carar ya el menu del juego, pero apartir de aqui ya no funciona se queda la panatalla en negro y no se escucha nada...despues de unos segundos marca el error

luckly FIFA 99 works Great for me with 3D patch above i got XP SP2 and 6800 UTLRA VGA
however the intro video shows in window mode.. wonders if anyone had this problem too , and how to solve it
