I have Intel Pentium 4 2,4Northwood, Gigabyte Radeon 9700pro, HD Maxtor DiamondMax9+ 7200rpm(i install whole game at HD), 512Mb DDR at 333 Kingston (usually 300Mb free when playing FIFA). I experiencim low frame rates in some cases during playinf (i ste detal level to high, resolution is 1280x1024x32-I have 19" monitor). I wwas wondering and that is question would more 512Mb DDR RAM would make gemeplay to flow without chopping.

The thing that's cool about 2004 is that the 'RENDER' line does not hurt the performance like it did in 2003 (having to use medium settings or lower resolutions to avoid the slow motion effect at times). The game engine has been improved greatly. I play @ 1024x768x32 with 2XAA at 85 hz, high setting's and the game NEVER has the 'slow motion' thing like last year.

The only changes that need to be added to get the buttery animation is in the: Program files/EA Sports/FIFA 2004/Data/cmn/cfg_pc_h file. Just add...
RENDER_EVERY_AI_FRAME = 1
VSYNC_MODE = 3
and possibly change the USELOWENDSOFTSHADOWS = 0 to 1 (simple shadows for a performance boost).
