I have found, playing online, that to be good you really don't have to be able to play a beautiful or even pretty game, as long as you get the shooting down (couple of yard outside the box, rip it past the keeper, ball goes so fast he doesn't even react) and play good defence, then you can win pretty easily.
When I'm playing, I am doing all kinds of awesome moves; sending guys down the lines, through balls over and on the ground, give and gos, crosses, beating players 1 v 1 using skill moves, it goes on and on......
Sadly, this often doesn't result in goals. Other guys I've played (some ranked really high) just kick the ball up front waiting for that break, or when they find themselves in front of the box...well you know whats coming next.
Often games will end with my posession over 70 percent, but with only 2 or 3 shots on goal. The opposition player will have like 15 shots with hardly any posession. Part of it is me not wanting to adapt to shooting from far out the whole game, its urealistic and unsatisfying. I refuse to play this way.
My sad conclusion, like many other previous FIFA's, you don't really need to understand dik about football to be good at FIFA. In a way, it makes the game harder the more you know about football (the more you try to implement real football into FIFA).
This is SOOOOOOOOOOO fustrating, anyone else finding this to be true?
