FIFA forcing all World Cup Kits to be the same colour or shading.

This just seems borderline blasphemous. The most iconic kits of all time are iconic precisely because of the beautiful contrast of colours: Italy, Germany, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, England, Spain, etc.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...p-defence-Brazil-break-90-year-tradition.html

New Rules:

- Kit has to be of the same colour.
or
- Kit has to be of the same shading (so light coloured shirt, light coloured shorts and socks). IE: Colombia wearing white shorts and socks at the World Cup. Presumably teams like Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, will wear white shorts. (England and Germany too)

"2.
Each team shall inform FIFA of two different and contrasting colours (one
predominately dark and one predominately light kit) for its official and reserve
team kit (shirt, shorts and socks). In addition, each team shall select three
contrasting colours for the goalkeepers. These three goalkeeper kits must be
distinctly different and contrasting from each other as well as different and
contrasting from the official and reserve team kits. This information shall be
sent to FIFA on the team colour form. Only these colours may be worn at the
matches.
"

The wording is really vague, to me at least.

:| The most stupid rule I've ever heard of, a rule that makes me feel that we're returning in the past. Damn...

"5.
FIFA will inform the teams of the colours that they shall wear for each match.
As far as possible, each team shall wear its of
ficial colours as declared on the
official team colour form. If the two teams’ colours and the match officials’
colour might cause confusion, in principle, team A in the of
ficial match scheduleshall be entitled to wear its official team kit and team B shall use its reserve
team kit or, if necessary, both teams may have to wear a combination of their official and reserve team kits. FIFA will endeavour to ensure that each team
wears its official team kit at least once during the group stage.

This is so retarded... So much for having kits resembling national colours.

Imagine if they tried to force this onto club competitions. WTF?

Absolutely. As a person who's close to Argentinian football, I can tell you that most people despise Argentina with white shorts.

- Black shorts and socks: define Germany's kit as much as the white does.
- Black shorts and socks: define Argentina's kit as much as the white/sky blue does.
- Blue shorts and white socks: define Brazil's kit as much as the yellow does.
- Black shorts and socks: define Uruguay's kit as much as the sky blue does.
- White shorts and socks: define Italy's kit as much as the blue does.
