Hey Nick,

I dont know if the patch governs this, but the passing/shooting direction seems a bit messed up. When trying to pass straight ahead with some power or at a 45 degree angle downwards on the gamepad the player turns around and hits it in the opposite direction. Its never happened to me previously so I figure its got to do with the patch, but I could be wrong.

Also, the opposition scored two easy goals from 20 yards, 60 degrees angle to the goal because the goalie went walk about... you might wanna look into that. (I played Leicester with original ratings) Looked solid otherwise even tho I only played one game because of the direction thing.

this patch is horrible ! , tackle a player take the ball and dont knock him down or make him stumle and get a card, offsides like crazy, wild crazy @ss goals

I am afraid I don't seem to be experiencing the same problems, though it's not only you that has 'suffered' from this bug.

Please tell me what gamepad you're using. I will test my new file on both gamepad and keyboard and see what problems I get, if any.

I am very sorry that people are upset with this file, as a lot of hard work goes into it, but I guess I can't fix everything!

I'll release a new one tonight and see if it does it again, but I do have an idea what it was, and have taken action.

Oh and UNION. This is a beta. In the final version, you get to pick what referee strictness you want, run to the ball manual or automatic and shooting assistance. I'm not sure if I'll have the easy and hard.

curving the ball

i haven't used your patch yet, however i am going to. I was wondering if there was a way that u could increase the curve on the ball, cause when i shoot and put curve on the ball, it hardley curves at all. andy suggestions?

I have tried this before, but it's hard to force more curve onto the ball.

Nick,

I use a Gravis Gamepad Pro. The funny thing was that I could do short passes, the problems occured when I tried to put a bit of power on the ball, long balls in the air and hard throughballs basically.

Right, I'll look into it, but I 'think' I have solved the problem.

Hi!
Does anyone know how to edit the "soccer.ini" to make the goalie more reliable?


Also, how can strikers score with headers even facing the contest from the goalie?

I've looked at the "soccer.ini" file...and got confused by some of the numbers ... can anyone help? thanks.

Referee Strictness

Hey Nick,

It seems that you edit a lot with the gameplay of Fifa 2002. Maybe you'll have also problems with the referee strictness?Could you take a look the folowing thread: "Official INI.big Editors Thread !", and read my message. Maybe it's usefull information.
