Fifa GFX patch 3.0

Has anyone tried tha patch found here:

I tried it out and it's got some damn nice lighting effects and smooth cut scenes and animations. Looks really really nice up close, but the default gaming view looks all blurry and the grass looks a lot worse.

If anyone has tried it, have you found a solution to restore the gaming view (overhead view) to the default used by the game?

The patch is from Fifamania and made by fifaccitiu (he also writes in this forum).
But Sty what do you mean for overhead view? If you talk about the camera I think it's always the same

This is what i mean. In this view the game looks really bad with the patch. I'm playing in 1680x1050 res. Otherwise, it looks great, but I can't play if it looks blurry. I feel like I'm drunk!


Also, how do you change the colours on the score box back to the original blue? I don't really like the red and yellow bars.

It's a great patch but I don't like the new grass, I was using Junjoong grass patch and with this new patch it looks awful, do you think it would be possible not to include a grass modify in your next version???

Everything is good apart from the grass - it doesnt look that great

Would be very pleased if you could release a version without the grass update!

this patch has nothing to do with the turf. it only modified some files in the config.dat and cfg_pc_h.ini that blurry effect happened because of some strings were modified in those files so you can get to normal by reverting the values.

it's a good patch but i really don't like the raining effect. the rain looks so big n clear so i am just using the LOD settings for players, their head and shadow from the patch.

and it does not change the camera view/ angle

can you please post the LOD settings for the players, their heads and the shadows? That's basically all I'm interested in as well but I have no clue which settings those would be.

i wish i can write it down here but i think the author of the patch may get angry of my action then so the best way is you installed the patch 1st. then in the file named cfg_pc_h.ini (..\ea sports\fifa 08\data\cmn) you copy the strings in the file into the original cfg_pc_h.ini.
