so steve man, you can do something like CM. Don't you ?!
Why do you think I'd be able to produce anything more quickly than Rinaldo, who already has the CM 07 codebase to work from?? (and given the comment this was in reply to, you might like to note that I am happily married with three children, so no better off than Rinaldo in that respect) Add to that the fact that I have no real interest in editing the game, and that I don't do GUI programs if I can avoid them, and it seems most likely that I'll continue to potter along producing my command line based reporting and problem fixing tools in my own good time.

Any chance of us seeing a EAFFAnalyser program for 08?

I like you Steve Pitts. I enjoy reading your posts. They have a sense of sophistication to them that unfortunately this forum lacks. The same can be said about Rinaldo's posts.

I don't know how you guys can handle illiterate youngsters from third world countries with such dignity and respect when obviously it is not mutual. They can care less about the "community" and will repeatedly ask and beg until they get what they want. They won't even say a simple thank you or reinforce their thankfulness into the community by contributing to it.

I see this every single visit on this forum on every single thread. Yes, they are many great folks out here but to be honest, they are few and far between. I think we all know who they are...

Thanks Steve :-)

I appreciate your sentiments, pal - and I too find Steve's posts to be a breath of fresh air among some of the meanderings that are far too often posted. I have to mention this bit of your post however, as being quite biased. Some people who come across as being "illiterate" are frequently from countries where English is not the first language. They therefore have difficulty in expressing themselves properly. There are also those from first world countries who choose to hide behind the relative safety of the internet to make unkind remarks about others, despite the benefit of excellent schooling and good social skills taught at an early age. If you had said

I would not have had a problem.
Cheers.

I agree with you on both issues but thats not what I meant. You left the rest of my sentence out..

Maybe the use of the world illiterate was improper. I was referring to those folks that post garbage ever single day. I do not fault anyone for not speaking English but I do fault people for being stupid. Most of the posts, in this thread alone, are just that--stupid. They come from people who are all about "me and me" and can care less about the effort, energy, and perseverance it takes to produce such a tool for this community.

I can tell the diffrence between a lack of expressing one self due to a language barrier to being ignorant. I applaud those who express themselves and contribute to this community. I hate and laugh at those who are, in my opinion, illiterate and ignorant. I can call them that just by reading their comments.

I have so many examples to this but I refuse to hijack this thread because by doing so, I will become a part of that group that I just mentioned.

Make a list with numbers: first world, second.....so, I will know from now on where I live. You know? Maybe I'm not from this world. Maybe I live on the moon and I don"t know! Illiterate? In english, maybe! Is a little bit dangerous to make a comentary of this kind in a international forum. Maybe in my home language you are an illiterate to. Maybe you think that you live in the first world and the others are from other world, or, hey, maybe we don't even match your standards for the human kind. Maybe we are monkeys and we participate to this comunity from a tree!

I hope you understand a illiterate monkey like me because you are an intelligent guy living in the very FIRST world. Excuse our existence.

arayas, if you actually read the post above yours, mrj7ake has quantified his illiterate comment and all you have done is reinforce what he was referring to. Posters hopping on here to post something for somethings sake and not contributing to the discussion. Maybe you should read a post twice before you decide you've been defamed and retaliate.

You are right Ashman23! I'm glad someone gets it :-)

Let me clear this thing once and for all and I do not want to hash this again!

I apologize for my previous unnecessary remarks regarding third world countries and being illiterate. If you read my clarification post, you can clearly see that I probably used the words incorrectly.

The problem lies where people see something and take it at face value without looking further. In case case, people may have seen illiterate and stopped right there. You should have continued reading to find out exactly what I meant.

Please respond via a Google translator so I can clearly understand you better... A JOKE!!!
