Well i play Fifa RTWC 98 regularly. What has started to piss me off is that i get the same teams as opponents in the first and final rounds mostly everytime i play. Does this happen to everyone ? WTF is going on.

Well, to be honest I am not sure, I haven't found myself with the same problem...
The randomization of groups in the game is actually not totally random but first based on how good the teams are. The first 8 are seeded in "group 1" the second eight "group 2" the third eight "group 3" and the last eight "group 4"... Then the teams in each seeding group are randomly set to each group. One from group 1, 2, 3 and 4. However, this randomization is not totally random either... I don't know how this is set but it seems like some teams can't be put in certain spots...
I have messed around with this quite a lot since starting to create the World Cup 2002 update...
However I don't know why you get the same groups every time if you start a new game (not based on a saved game) with different teams...

I think i might have to get the game reinstalled. The prob is that none of my friends have the original just the patched version. Thanks for the help :)
