Hello friends, I want to announce to everyone, I'm developing a patch along with a friend.
The MOD is based on the FIFA World Cup in Brazil 2014.
It's a simple patch but will give you a taste of some people being able to play the Cup with his national team.

We are working on stages for future versions of the patch, we have converted the Maracana in the game from EA Sports,

Nope. Get Moddingway mod. They will convert the WC stuff to PC. So we'll probably have everything from the WC game.

Are they going to be able to convert the WC modes too, like Capt your country and Story of Qualifying/Finals?
Or just the teams/players/kits/banners/logos/stadiums?

Well the latter I am sure they will. But for the modes I am not sure I think Ariel just got the information that the game is out on ps3 yesterday. We will have to wait and see if they are new announcements but for now no news except the fact that they will now focus on the WC database.

Ok I've sent him PM @ Moddingway Forums asking if he wants to collaborate. I've got all the national stadiums available from PES, Rugby Challenge, FIFA09 etc. They're all uploaded by me and they're all able to be converted.

With respect Robbie your stadium conversion project seems overly ambitious, especially when the interest in FIFA14 will wane significantly after the peak of the World Cup, with interest in the World Cup also surely on the decline after the event.

Hi mate, I know that it's quite ambitious; but the more people that we have on this project the larger # of stadiums can be completed. All UEFA and CONMEBOL stadiums are there. It is doable. I managed to organize a complete patch for the UEFA EURO 2008 game with ~60 stadiums when the stadiums were the older format; and people are still asking me for it 6 yrs later. In any case most converted stadia are either from that time or PES6. I'm also thinking long term, not just for FIFA 14. If we can convert stadiums from PES/.o & .fsh into the .rx3 format, they will have longevity for future editions of FIFA.

What about the problems of Lighting when adding a stadium under a new ID? so far Ariel has been unable to add a stadium without these issues, and it's pretty strange playing an early evening match with daytime shadows/lighting. Is a shame as there's been some amazing stadiums made this year that we'd love to have included.

I know that is a problem, but that's probably out of our control. But still, why should that prevent converting stadiums? Isn't it better to play in the real stadiums than just generic ones?

I totally agree with you Robbie !
I prefer to install a new added stadium patch, even if there are minor defaults in it, rather than play in common & generic stadiums...

Also agree with Robbie and the ligntning wouldn't bother me as much as playing in a generic stadium

It's a personal choice, there would be users that were not so keen to have stadiums with incorrect lighting so these kinds of things are better added by the individual user instead of being included in the mod, we always have to think of everyone so if it doesn't work perfectly we can't really add it.
