I know this is gonna be a big blow to all of you anti-Fifa people regarding this award but this is voted on by the national coaches.
The coaches can vote for anyone they want and this is the shortlist that has come out of it. It's well known the coaches from smaller nations generally vote based on reputation, just take a look at past year's voting results.
Ronaldinho should take this award for what he's done all year.

Sheringham, the "Greek Attack" is in response to some anti-Zagorakis comments that were made earlier in the thread. Some people (not all) clearly need to be educated about football.

Rochester Rhino, Virgo, I agree, I would have included Morientes among the 35, however, he didn't do much (ie. wasn't allowed to do much by Inaki Saez) at Portugal. If Saez would have played him more I think Spain would have made the next round and Morientes would have received more recognition.

What has Raul done this season? Its between Henry n Ronaldinho but the later will win because henry didnt do enough at
Euro.
These awards should be held in January so all the performances of 2004 can be put into it

The only players from Real who deserve to be in that IMO should be either Ronaldo (top scorer in La Liga), Zidane (usual self) and Figo (always played well IMO).
I bet it comes down between Henry, Rooney and Ronaldinho (hyperthetically) and the last manager to vote is Ferguson. Out of spite he votes for Rooney because Ronnie rejected him and Henry is a gooner.
