FIFA05 Beats PES 4 Hands down

I just got PES4 today, and whoa is it a crock of **** or what. Gameplay is pathetic. As slow as a fart. Can only dribble in 8 directions up,down,left,right,all 4 diagonals. Dribbeling is stuttery and crap. Hit the buttons, and they dont do anything... Shooting is absolutely bollox, Free kick taking is retarded, how u suppost to aim with nothing, pitch is scled way too big, I feel like ive got akers of space. Passing is crap. half the time they dont even reach. What else did I find crap about this game hmmm, Online play is a joke, the Netcode is crap it lags like a whore. And I mean it. Tackeling is a joke, its as if theres no tackeling cod even been written, You cant tackle that simple. Slide and its a foul every time, hit the soft tackle and nothing happens.

FIFA is the king of football, after playign PES and seeing it my self. Who ever thinks its better doesnt have a leg to stand on, It's appauling im taking it back to the shops tommorow waste of £30.

its actually slightly faster than fifa05, and besides, its the way REAL FOOTBALL IS

hit the soft tackle and nothing happens.

once again, u dont no when to use it. its because ur use to fifa which allows u to press it way before u get to the player and just keep holding it, and after a couple of seconds it tackles.

in fifa i agree that the free kick aiming is too precise. BUT it almosy NEVER goes where u tell it to. it equals out see?

Konami and EA should get together one night and talk abt putting these two games togther. oh yeah, with TCM

Well, at least your defenders can actually SCORE in PES, like when you take corners. You can take short corners, curl the ball and every corner is different and special but in Fifa every corner is almost the same.

When you substitute players in PES4, there's a little cutscene now which shows the current player getting off the field and the substitute running to the field. In Fifa, however, they don't even show who are being substituted on the screen, the commentaries just say something like "Well, the manager made a substitution" and the AI doesn't even make substitutions; you have to edit it in a .ini file to make it work, which is stupid.

This and alot of other things has PES over Fifa.

in PES the freekicks are exactly how it shold be. to be skilled, u must know what your doing. in fifa, ur player can score while running backwards and turning with a 200 mph shot. THATS UNREALISTIC. in real life u cant get any power like that

i was the biggets fifa lover. u can check my history. i was arguing against PESers because they used to pi.ss me off. but they were 100% correct. it is by far the most superior soccer sim in the world.

I've said this hundreds of times and I'll say it again... I was a long time Fifa player before I tried out PES and I can say that the only things that are better in Fifa are multiplayer support and the Player Runs button.

Maybe for you, but it mostly depends on your formation and who takes your corner. At least admit it the corners in Fifa are always the same.

Unlike the others I won't say you are an idiot, but I will suggest that you have hardly given the game a chance, and that what you are saying sounds exactly like what anyone says after trying out a rival game to your favourite for the first time.

I suggest you re-approach the game as if you didn't have FIFA to fall back on, play it for a week or two exclusively, and then go back to FIFA and see if you can stay with it. If so, then fair enough, maybe you just like FIFA more.

I know for a fact I have only ever played PES, starting from way back when it was only ISS98. I have only ever played one FIFA and I hardly gave it a chance. I am, however, planning to try the FIFA05 demo and see how it plays. But, unlike yourself, I will try and give it a bit more than 10 minutes.
