haha ok.. I just did a quick search, which I admit I should've done before asking, and tweaked it..

but I removed the line altogether.. hope it'll not be a problem..

are you sure to installed the patch correctly? also im playing the game with fidel's gp evo and there is no any problem.

maybe you have to try to regenerate data files with "iard68 Fifa 12 regenerator"

Hey.
I too have a problem. I have installed the GP Evo. I have been doing exactly what was said in the tuto. But when the game starts, I select language (French), new settings. That being done, I have the new defense tutorial. This is here that my game crashes.
I did regenerate : ignore and take care but it still crashes. I have removed product.ini . Ain't working.

It only works when I ignore... . But this is like the patch: once I tested, I can't play original version.

Please, any help?

After regenerating (take care of edited files) , did you remove the product.ini? If yes, then that's the reason. You shouldn't remove it.

There is something terribly wrong with your version 4 patch, attacker don't rush forward, flanks stands still far away from goal, i didn't see any improvements in the tackle system at all! Until you fix this, I am going to roll back changes and use original gameplay. Thanks for your effort anyway, if I can provide any help, to test some new version or whatever you need just let me know. Bye!

He'll be back in a while, I guess.

The latest beta-test version is a no-go. I suggest playing with the default AI with modified sliders and tactical defending. If not, try legacy.

Settings : World Class (more CPU varied goals), decrease line length and line height (both CPU and User), reduce acceleration and sprint speed. There you go. You have a realistic game.

How slide tackles can be fixed?? As you can see in the video below, there was contact between my defender (their slide tackle skill is great, 85 or so) and CPU players, but CPU keep running like nothing happened and my defenders are out! In my opinion this is a major issue in fifa 12 which prevents gameplay to be realistic as it should be. Fidel, solve this man, i am so sure you can do that.

P.S. By the way, this is a original fifa 12 gameplay, without any patches but problem is the same even if I apply your patch version 4.

For me, using the xmas version, both the AI and my team mate defenders don't run back and play the ball, making 1 v 1 with the goalie very easy. It's annoying. Also there are absolutely no long balls played. Every team passes around and runs like they are Barca. Barely any crosses from the corner, zero long lobs for strikers and wingers to run down. It isn't football! It's so boring to play now with the singular minded AI.

Comment the line MUST_RUN_FWD_INTENSITY. There you go. Removed the annoyance factor!

No,regenerating is done to set the path of various game files so as to use the files you added externally like product.ini,platform.ini,etc..So if you remove product.ini after regenerating,then game will surely crash as it still searches for product.ini..So,if any editing,any removal of file is done,then regeneration must be done after that..If you remove product.ini,then you have to regenerate fifa 12..But i donot think product.ini is causing any problem..
