I agree with you Dennis, I've only played the demo but from what I can see, this is definitely the best game they have made yet.

Fifa2k1 Is the GREATEST Football Game EVER!!!!
whatever you morons say - i'm telling you now - you all suck - Fifa2k1 is the best football game money can buy and you idiots keep finding a way to spit on it - well i gotta say one thing to you - **** OFF .....
I'm posting this review only for the people who don't have their stupid-little minds already made up -
1. Gameplay - 9/10 - a bit tough to pass around but when you get the hang of it it feels quite good. Whoever says that you can't pass the ball infront of a player just doesn't know how to do it - it's done quite easily by using through ball in the right direction - it takes practice of course...yeah, it may seem like the defenders interecept it most of the time ,but that's only when you don't do it properly and anyway - you can't expect every attack to lead to a goal-scoring chance....and by the way players do get into open spaces - even from the midfield .....
The power-bar is a great new implementation - if you measure you shot with the maximum possible power you can surprise the keeper from outside and it happenes a lot more than in fifa2k
2. Graphics - 10/10 - State of the art, what else can i say ?
3. Sound - 9/10 - Great new option for "on-field" play - how can you idiots argue that the sound from a tackle isn't realistic and etc. what do you expect? a perfect sliding tackle sound taken from a real football game ? give me a brake ....
with the new option you can hear team-mates shouting to each other and if you turn the volume up you can actually recognise what they are saying like "man on!!" or "get back!!" and stuff ,which is quite cool if you ask me ....
4. Overall - 9/10 - that's simply a great game and the idiots who can't recognise it simply suck...of course many things can be better but it's a big step ahead - with the introduction of linesmen, players warming-up, stewards and etc. - if you wonder - that adds a great realistic atmosphere to the game....
5. Reviewer's Tilt (Gamespot style) - 10/10
[If anybody wonders who i was turning to with "idiots", "morons" and etc. - don't worry - they know who they are - people who obviously haven't even played the game long enough to have an opinion, people who can only be satisfied by the Absolute Perfect Football Game - which will never come - maybe only with the introduction of Virtual Reality.....]

Yeah! I agree with you guys-fifa rocks. I'm playing the full version right now and I had 3 ties of 0-0 with fiorentina,parma,and lecce. The gameplay is great and I like the passing physics and how the players open up in the front. The defence AI is perfect on the professional level and with the speed setup in slower the game is great. My record with inter is 0W,3T,and 1L.

I can't say I really agree with you all about this game. It's somewhat of an improvement over last year's version, with the bigger pitch and the "slower" option, but it still doesn't impress me at all. It's still possible to score loads of goals of crosses because the defence seems to vanish whenever a player makes a run with the ball towards the corner. It ends up being just a forward and a defender in the box, and there is rarely anything which the defender does about an overhead kick or a simple header. I just beat Mallorca 6-1 with Osasuna on professional level. It's disappointing.
I'll admit I haven't tried the world class level yet, but if it's anything like it's been in previous versions, it will just be the computer making more unfair challenges and more super-human keepers.
I know a lot of you all will ***** at me and tell me "you don't have to cross the ball all the time to score goals," which is true. I've actually been given a couple penalties and I've scored on a few free kicks. But the realism in this game still is not what it should be. I like the new animations and the authentic kits, but racing straight past the defence is FAR too easy in this game. The tackles still look and sound like something from a wrestling match.
I'll keep playing it to see if my mind changes, but right now I'm still liking CM a whole lot more (like that could ever change
).

actually dsh, the AI engine is more intelligent this time, not breakthrough stuff (cause programmers are too lazy) but improved the computer learns, the best challenge you would get though is from other players using internet options or with your friends.
FIFA2001 is certainly a good improvement over FIFA2000 the graphics and gameplay much better, impressed, still some silly errors that occured in the last game, but and incorrect or incomplete teams, but watch out for patches guys
And for you dynamo kiev fans, there are teams that do appear in the game, but you would jnot be able to use them, DYnamo kiev is one, others include skonta rigo, sparta prague again I say, LOOK OUT FOR THE NEW PATCHES, where many more teams including the entire PORTUGUESE< POLISH, and TURKISH leagues are already been developed to co-invide with the rest of the world official release date of 10th November, so keep your eyes peeled and keep watching the message board and our sister sites.

I'm not sure how improved the AI engine really is. It doesn't seem to be fantastically so, if it is. But I think that's just another one of those differences of opinion.
Internet play is a very good inclusion this year, that should increase the game's replay value for people like me.
