„FIFA 98: Road to World Cup“ was the fifth game of the FIFA Football series and, in the view of many users, it is still the best. Due to its 3D graphics and its gameplay the game was a sensation at that time. It was provided with a quiet simple control, so that the trickiest moves could be performed without any problem.
FIFA 98 was the last game out of the series in which you were able to control your teams by mouse and the last game in which you could play indoor, a feature many users want to have reanimated. With its soundtrack, FIFA 98 set standards, too, because for example Blur’s „Song2“ was part of the music included in the game.
It’s a pity that EA Sports was not able to continue the spirit of this classic with the newer FIFA games. As you can see, there are many reasons to revive the best game of the FIFA series more then 10 years afters its release - with the players of today!
And here it is, the first version of the "Becuase It's Still The Best Patch” by FIFA 4 Fans.
Version 1.0 contains:
* the 18 German Bundesliga Clubs 2007/08
* 288 current Bundesliga players (as of April 2008)
* 156 national teams with current roosters (as of Summer 2007 - April 2008)
* current kit settings
* new standard kits
* similar stadiums associated
