Having played all Fifa games since 1998 and recentley bought a Xbox 360. But since there's no Fifa club season game I figured I'd buy PES5 to at least play seasons with my favorite club.

Holy crap, I'm truly amazed with PES5. The gameplay feels so real. The huge amount of tweaks you can do to your teamformation and strategies is simply fantastic.

The game frustrates me by time, but than realizing this is real, when I have a striker enter the pitch uncovered and having the ball shoot over goal anyway, just as real life would, just not stepping in correctly and just not hit the ball right.

I'm stunned with PES5. Ofcourse there are some things I would like to see improved, Fifa's clubmanaging put into PES5's League, and it'd be great.

Yeah, you know i don't think i have really given PES5 a good enough chance yet. I have it on pc but play fifa 06 on xbox. I love fifa06, but maybe i should get pes5 on xbox, dunno. Would there be much difference between xbox and pc versions? Plus the only other thing about pes5 that i find a bit off putting is that the ball seams a bit floaty. Dunno, maybe i should give it more of a go.

One thing about fifa06 is the speed of the game, even on the slowest setting the ball moves around quickly, its more like Aussie Rules Football, which is a brilliant game and less like soccer. But still fifa06 is a great game.

i think u should wait till october and get pes6 insted of getting pes5, as i hear that the game will have lots of improvments. they inplement lots of animation, better ball fiziks & smother passing with lots of variatys to score, ect...

i hope fifa 2007 will impreve the gameplay
as i would like to get it for my xbox360, but still my first buy football game in my x360 will be wepes2007 can't ******* wait

PES5 is the worst PES I've played. There's just so many things wrong with it. Crappy keepers, that sh*tty side step every time you dribble, the referee's always giving freekicks, awful ball physics, etc...

its true, but still much better then any football game today, my favorite pes game was pes3, that game was so adictit to play, i played it full year, i never played any game that much, sins then konami havan't improve the game much not for my test anyway :chew:

After I got my 360 I rented WE9 after it became BC and opted not to purchase it as it had no widescreen/HD support and it looked like FIFA 1996 on my LCD projection TV. If you think this is a small deal it isn't, the game was totally unenjoyable, and I agree with slow silver that WE9 was not as good as WE6/7i or even WE8i..it did have some improvements, but the ball physivs seem to have worsened (and the keepers need to have a total overhaul...they have to stop making 2 hand saves on everything!)

I'm going to just sit back and wait for WE 2007 coming out in January and play NHL until then ;) (maybe try FIFA 07 if it comes out for the 360 this year)

Oh yeah, PES can't even come up with decent National Team kits. The Argentinian one looks like a 5th division team kit and the Swedish one isn't even close to the real Swedish kit.

There must be some real kit creators, kit importers and editors out there to make something out of that mess.

Highly dissapointed after trying to find a decent editor for FIFA 05 and 06, I was considering PES as an alternative. But after looking at some screenshots I gave up the idea.

I have to correct myself here. After spending a couple of hours on different PES forums and sites, I can see that there are a lot of possibliities here. Since there seems to be a possibility to edit the game and since there seems to be people who have put some effort in creating kits, real player names and such, PES might be the game for me after all.

I'll be back with a comment after testing the game. :)

nice one mate, trust me if u give that game a chance then u ll c the real deal, i was the same like u, i hated wrong names & wrong kits, but if u see how deep the edit mode is in pes, that let u fix anything u want, then u ll c that shouldn't be a problem as long as the game plays well (Y)

Yea but plp keep saying that PES6 will not have that much imrovements though, amd you shoudl wait til the next games comes out.

For me pes5 ist the best version, better than pes3 and pes4. just play a few days pes3 or pes4 and you will write the same.

Just download a big patch, for example superpatch 4.0 which will be out on sunday i think. But you can try the version 3.0

Only the XBOX360 Verison of Fifa looks good. I think Fifa 07 will be better than Fifa 06 ( i hope so) but PES use still the better gamplay and that's the biggest point. But i'm waiting for de Fifa Demo before i'll write my opinion.
