Great stuff, the new cinematics with the national anthems are great, but er, gotta prob, the menus all have "no data" in place of all the buttons etc... I figured out how to get around the menus from memory, but any ideas?

i am d/l ing the WC Patch i must say it looks unbelievable. but Gareth or someone where can i d/l the nsl patch i have always been looking out ofr it but never found it

95% wrong ? of course thats bull****. I dont join any discussions about kits, as some people like this and some people like that.

no Stadium ?:
Just hit the - key on the Numblock of your keyboard to leave Fifa2002, check the FifaFX-Interface if you see the installed teams within the small Patchwindows. If the names of the actual teams arent inside this windows, shut down FifaFX and start it directly again.
Now return to Fifa2002 and save the game. When you hear "Its showtime" everything went fine.

FifaFX unstable ?
Of course its not ! If your system refers to the requirements there wont be any crashes at all.

I believe my system supports any type requirement:

Dell Dimension 8200
2 Gigahertz
256 ram
Geforce 3, 64

And it does not work!

great patch bolzer, I cant make the anthems work, but they worked for other people, so they'll sure work for me, I'll try again.
When are you going to give us the tutorials for the groupings? I cant wait to take uruguay to the finals and all thanks to you!!!

sorry to sound like a "newbie" but i cannot get this to work. i have followed the readme. but still no good. i have fifafx, d/l it for this. i do what it says and then go to select team and then division and world cup etc. then when i go to start it runs but says error replacing ..... for each item and then the thing yells out"ready" or whateveer it syas. Then i go to fifa and turn it on and eveerything is still the same. Help me please! I really want to play

If you are using FifaFX the first time, be sure to study the FIFAFX2002v1_ReadMe.txt within the FifaFX-folder !
There you will even find the FifaFX2002v1.exe to run the program.


A very important requirement besides DirectX8.0 is that you must have a COMPLETE Fifa2002 installation on your harddisk !!!

This means you have to choose USERDEFINED and than check ALL boxes during the Fifa2002 installation. Otherwise the game will load files from CD so the Patches wont work.

To check if you have a FULL installation go to your Fifa2002\data\audio\spc-folder and look if there is a speech.str (very big file) inside.

At this time I do not recommend to use the Patch with WinXP !
It seems as it doesnt make a proper installation, so stay tuned for the WinXP-version of the Patch.

I need to know which OS and which language installation you have.
Its very important to choose the right language within the Installation of the Patch, as the 9 different languages use different data-files for savegames, league, team and playerdata.

@Hakeem:
After the installation of the Anthems, you should find an intro1.str-file inside the several TEAMS-folders. These are the anthems that will be installed when this team is about to play.

Anyone that wants the official kits should download the official english addon.

As soon as bolzer sends out the tutorial we are going to get the official english groupings done then release.

Our worldcup kits and referee kits will be made by myself and JJ using NHL textures and 32 bit.

Ok, do like this. Open your cd drive when you have your fifa 2002 cd inserted. Choose data, audio and copy all audio files there is on that cd to your fifa 2002 audio folder on your C drive. this worked for me

I know this advice is meant good, but please DO NOT do it this way !

1) All files will be writeprotected after copying from CD to harddisk !

2) There are more files that will be installed from CD to HDD with FULL installation, so there are still files missing even when you copy the Music-folder to HDD.


A FULL Fifa2002 Installation is absolutely required to use FifaFX !



BTW:
If you should receive a NO DATA error try changing your LANGUAGE in Options.

yeah i can't get it to work.....there's a message in msdos prompt that ask us to abort, retry or fail on some message which i can't remember......retrying doeent help, so i aborted it. I wanna play!
