Also a mirror will probably be added to soundcloud for each individual MP3 download of the pack, but for now its in a zip as I want to contain it to a pack download.

Any issues or the fileshare is playing up then let me know or PM me.

Im not up for "requests" but over time I may add more if I find some interesting sound source that's worth mixing, so if you find any youtube source of good quality stadium sounds without commentary then certainly let me know. Hopefully this pack should cover many areas as-is anyway especially if you play shorter games, the best experience is 10+ minute games though.

Use Mp3 Gain, you can change decibels up and down and its loss-less.

As per detailed instructions:

All you need to do is choose a drive you prefer to use them on, copy the audio folder
“StadiumAmbience” to the ROOT of that drive and then copy the relevant playlist files
from the corresponding drive letter folder and paste these into your windows “my music”
folder, you only need one set from one of the folders.

Under XP that can be found at:

Documents and Settings\(*YOURPROFILENAME*)\My Documents\My Music

Or Vista/Win7 its %appdata% my music.

EXAMPLE: So if you want D drive you would copy “StadiumAmbience” to "d: \StadiumAmbience" and then copy the
playlist files from the folder "playlists\Ddrive" to your windows "my music" folder IE:

My Music\FMSA_IntroMusic.m3u
My Music\FMSA_StadiumAmbience.m3u

in your case the playlist files go in "music" folder or if you have "my music" or "playlists" folder in windows you can use that (whichever lets fifa13 see the playlist files in-game). My playlists wont find anything unless you place the “StadiumAmbience” to the ROOT of that drive using the playlist linked to the same drive letter.

AS posted already is the best I dont use off the shelf things I use studio software which is way to costly for simple gain. I also found that even still Fifa's sound engine is a little on the low level side in-game which doesn't help so you have to push them further to get the results. My sounds are made to fill the ambience and not force them into your face ;)

What I haven't done is grab some chants from a site, slapped them in the playlist and that's it, they have been mixed & mastered to match in-game tailored one-by one in stereo which took about 3-4 days to layer them, test them, master them, test again, and so on.

As a result all are unique to this pack and wont be found anywhere else both in terms of stereo, mixed and "soundscaped" if you will :)

Dont forget to load with windows media player the folder "stadium ambience"

open wmp/File/manage libraries/music/ on library location add button and select your folder.

very nice pack. I suggest you to use MpTrim for more powerful sound, with many options.

There are many ways to skin a cat, to boost MP3's for sure. I use a combination of Tracks 3 valve compressor and limiter and parametric EQ through Logic Audio. As always you can boost a file to death and in the sound engine EA do there trick of still making things lower in-game. Also in fifa 12 if you turned down "crowed" slider you chants would be louder than the crowed, but in 13 the crowed slider turns them all down ... another A1 EA logic moment.

BTW all my sounds are spread in stereo than mono, this will give the effect of a lower sound overall, but this pack is about making a layer "within" the rest of the stadium sounds. So the idea is giving a wider scope to a stadium that's not in your face but much like a stereo microphone in a stadium picking up surrounding ambience in stereo rather than sounds direct at the mic so to speak, or 300 people shouting right in your ears. If you want that, then you need your own chants thrown in.

As I mentioned in readme, this is about creating a feeling layer between EA sounds & commentator, and it fills an empty space.

open wmp/File/manage libraries/music/ on library location add button and select your folder.

Dont forget to load with windows media player the folder "stadiumambience".

This is the other way to import into media player, its up to user what they do and prefer to get them into the game, my playlists are demos, I personally just use M3U's in my music folder, others have a different way. If you have a way that works best for you, then just import the MP3's and set them how you wish, the sound are the main point.

C/music/playlists - does this get used by windows media player/windows? If not this wont get "seen" by fifa13. "C / Chants " well that's not the folder structure my playlists will see the MP3's in, if you use my playlists you HAVE to place "StadiumAmbience" folder on the ROOT of the drive along with the playlist that meets that drive letter. Otherwise you need to import the MP3's in media player and save them out again as your own playlist versions to match that new path of the files.

I am going to expand this to more chant based Mp3's too. I have quite a few in stereo format already for personal use, so I will create 5-10 min MP3's as long ambient sections with more focus on loud chants. I will also pack together all the individual chants separately too so you can use them as you want in play-lists. Will also thrown in some demo play-lists as well.

I will post an update as soon as its ready.

Also note for people that have dedicated soundcards or Creative Cards like Xfi, if you want to push the levels to the point that my ambient sounds you would need to actually turn down, there is a feature in the control panel called "SVM" ... if you tick this it acts like a real-time limiter and will press up all the volume of anything through the soundcard like an insta boost. Xfi creatives also come with built in EQ to boost mid rage, and "Crystalliser" which acts like a brightener effect which boost bass at bright top end of anything being passed through it.

If you dont have this feature or a different card, check your soundcard manual or control panel anyway for any enhancements like EQ/boosts as it works really well in this game.

Either way, its well worth for a small cost to get a dedicated card or an Xfi.

BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION:
************************
___________________________

In Fifa13 I always felt the stadium sounds were good but there was space for more. So I decided to source HQ/HD crowed and stadium audio (or as close to best quality as I could find), from live footage/library sounds to create my own tailored ambience MP3’s that could be used as custom audio with the flexibility of playlists that Fifa allows.

Most use this feature for “chants”, but after testing I realised it could be pushed further and used for entire sequences of self made stadium audio to run throughout the game at long lengths and most important in STEREO. What started as personal use sound design practice I decided to release as a soundpack for the community as I think it would be something people might use.

What is it?

This is the expansion pack into JUST Chants and ambience using direct crowed chants. Each chant/Mp3 has smooth fade-in & fade out transitions to smoothly work in and out of EA’s own audio.

NOTE: if you want the main ambient pack go to the thread to download here:

http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185317

This pack has varying crowed chants with 4 long 5min ambient Mp3's or the option of single individual chant MP3's so you can choose what you want to hear, also when you want to hear them.

All chants have been levelled and mixed direct with in-game comparisons on headphones/studio monitors & PC speakers. This was designed in such a way that its supposed to “fit in” with all other EA sounds, its not a force fed sound to blow your head off for the sake of it so bear that in mind, its supposed to be an expansion pack on what EA didn’t fully do :)

I have used Stereo imaging to make mono sources stereo, this fits into a 10 o’clock to 2 o’clock field range which sits comfortably between EA’s vanilla audio and the commentary. The effect is best described as a “gap that is filled” and a much more lively and wider/thicker sound to stadiums, esp. when on headphones.

If you want to spread these around with your own chants, simply set up your own playlists and pick what you want, its made so it can be a filler to chants to break them up.

A final tech note is that some of the sounds listened to raw outside of the game may seem quite "pushed" or loud as an MP3. This is because EA's sound engine always manages to lower the chants volume channel over its own sounds so you have to over compensate to push the volume more to fit in the game. Once they play in the game engine it makes more sense.

You will also find that Fifa engine will "Duck"/(Dip) the chants volume when teams are in the box either end, this is so the crowed response audio can kick in and you don't have control over that, so bear this in mind at those times.

Specifics Of Contents

FORMAT: 16bit 44khz 128Kbps MP3:

StadiumAmbienceChants

(Long play specific crowed chants overlayed with background stadium ambience)

StadiumAmbienceChants1.mp3 5m:50s
StadiumAmbienceChants2.mp3 5m:50s
StadiumAmbienceChants3.mp3 5m:21s
StadiumAmbienceChants4.mp3 5m:25s

IndividualChants

(All the individual chants on there own, added reverb/stereo and mastered)

56 individual chants ... too many to list here just check the folder:

"\StadiumAmbienceChants\IndividualChants" :)

Optional File

This is a blank silent 6 second file that's supplied for playlists makers. Use this to place between chants in a playlist to break up the endless looping of back to back chants, using it in a playlist multiple times = longer silent gap to the next chant that gets played, adds more randomness in-game.

This is used for the playlist of individual chants to show how it can make things more random in-game.

BLANK.mp3 0m:6s.

First off a folder named "StadiumAmbience" is one more stadium ambient file you can include intothe "Stadium Ambience pack" it is separate from this pack but missed out previously.

If you don't have the stadium ambience pack you can get it from the thread linked here:

http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185317

NOTE: My playlist are just optional, if you use media player way to import playlists and MP3's how you like then feel free to use that method.

This pack contains M3u playlist files and a folder named “StadiumAmbienceChants” which contains the main audio files.

Place "StadiumAmbienceChants" sound pack folder on the ROOT of your C: Drive only.

Place the M3U playlist files into your "My Playlists" folder used by media player under c: (windows profile folder).

Under XP that can be found at:

Documents and Settings\(*YOURPROFILENAME*)\My Documents\My Music\My Playlists

Or Vista/Win7 its %appdata% my playlists.

and so on.(this will then be picked up inside Fifa13 custom chant options).

In-game setup

Next go into Fifa and navigate to:

CUSTOMISE FIFA > SETTINGS > GAME SETTINGS > scroll to "AUDIO".

Set all level sliders to 10 max. If you need to adjust you can then turn down the ambient sounds using the "User Chants Volume" slider but it should be set to 10.

Also don't get confused with turning down "Crowed" volume, this will actually turn down EA crowed AND Chants (stupid on EA's part but they are not independent).

Now you need to go to custom chants to set up your preferences as follows:

CUSTOMISE FIFA > MY MUSIC & CHANTS >

From here you can set the playlists for all different modes. For each mode/option click and select the playlist name that shows from the list to confirm (if it doesn't show any you haven't installed playlist files to correct place so see above again) - heres the playlist options:

I have added some more in-game examples including the Barclays PL intro from the ambience pack here (sound cloud audio stream):

https://soundcloud.com/fifamonkey2012/fmsa-in-game-using-xfi-svm-eq

This is also an example of using Xfi dedicated card to boost everything (for those wanting boosting but without editing many files) ..

Here are the control panel settings I have used in the above stream audio example:

EQ & Bass Boost:

SVM - (A Limiter that pushed all levels to max through the card)

Crystalliser - An "Aural exciter" .. (boosts top end brightness and bass levels)

As mentioned before if you can get an XfI card or equivalent Soundblaster dedicated card that using this control panel boost elements it improved things greatly for audio, they are not that expensive, I use Xfi Fatality Gamer Pro card.

Thank you for feedback! (was getting a bit silent in here) :)

I would like to think they are original and unique to this game for sure, much time spent mixing matching and testing. Not really using much else than EA engineers would in game to be honest (apart from being limited on raw audio and using YT etc & slaved to the sound engines chants audio channel).

The main idea is so you can copy the folders where you want, and then mix and match & pull the Mp3's into media player and simply save the playlist and name how you want. So you can have more drumming/horns reaction when winning, and use the more subtle ambience for general chants when no one has scored, and then all the slagging off and negative chants, boos whistles when your loosing, its good fun mixing them up and testing.

I have just discovered another great sound source for more stadium ambience and will probably create a pack geared more towards when no one is winning or loosing, nothing too obvious. Fog horns, that type of thing. Im slowly making a database of mood sequences so I can merge them & make more.

I did forget to mention that 99 percent of the chants in chants pack are from http://fanchants.co.uk/

I cant take credit for any recording of the original source on that, I have just enhanced them, cleaned them up, boosted them, mastered them, trimmed before & after fades & put them into stereo with a wider sound and spit them back out again :)

Slowly making an update to this soon. Things such as Fog Horns in crowed ambience and other types, also lots of Player calls from the pitch, which may seem odd but running it when playing you brain thinks its coming from the gameplay which just adds more immersion as you play.

I wont bother much any more with playlists, becuase these will be just MP3 tools to add to existing playlists or your own ones.

More info and Soundcloud clips to come as I get more time :)

BTW nearly 8000 views and not many replies, I just "hope" its been ok for people who might have used it, as I have no clue. If anyone has any suggestions then please feel free to post, its a bit silent posting to yourself :)
