Hi, guys. I'am Lars from www.FifaX.ru
I'am a patchmaker there.
I've made 3 gameplay patches for FIFA 2004.
FifaX Gameplay Patch 1.0a - its the first version, though, in my opinion, its the most exciting one. I can't say that it is nore realistic... I wanted to make a patch that would make your game mnore interesting and exciting.
There is a readme me in each patch (but it is in the setup box, not in a textfile), so you can read about it more.

FifaX Gameplay Patch 1.0b - second version. VERY CHALLENGING! Try it.


FifaX Gameplay Patch 1.0c - i like it!!! A really like it!!!
Not much change comparing to 1.0a, BUT this wasn't my goal. Frankly, i like the original gameplay, but there are a lot of mistakes in it. So i've kust made a "patch" for the original one. Nevertheless, you will of course feel the changes.
The main is that the ball is even more independent now! Try it :)

And another thing... Those of you, who play on the lowest level of difficulty, won't see all of the changes, cuz' its pretty hard to change something there :)

Don't forget to make a backup copy of your original ini.big in case you don't like my patch.

What line(s) in the configuration files have you modified to do dat? To make the ball run around on its own?

Well, here you go...
Thats for version 1.0a:
I have changed over 200 values so describing all of the changes is useless.
Just the main features:
1) Computer's football is more various (long passes, wall passes, lobs, long shots) etc.
2) The pass system is completly changed. Now you can make short, therefore inch perfect
passes, accurate lobs etc.
3) It is much easier to score from a free kick or a penalty now.
4) The ball physics is changed to make it as real as possible.
5) Goalkeepers' AI is also very realistic, though challenging.
6) !!! Now computer makes substitutions and in-game tactics.
7) Now AI depends on your game.
And much-much more!!!

And here is fro version 1.0c (my favourite):
This patch changes your FIFA 2004 gameplay to more exciting
and realistic one.
New version features:
- Changed and improved AI
- Improved goalkeeper behaviour
- Improved shooting and pass system both in human and CPU game
- Long range CPU shots
- Beautiful goals and combinations
- Improved dribbling system
- Perfect team balance
And much more!!!
