ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLAYERS OF ALL TIME. IF NOT MY FAV.

I hope the portugal national team can still do greaat without him. But he will be a huge legend to me and to all portuguese people.
Very sad to see him go.

pay what? he never received anything for playing for his country. just the normal victory bonus like the other players...

I can still remember him and his huge long hair, scoring a goal with the Sporting shirt, celebrating while yelling "Cherbaaaaaa! Cherbaaaa!". That was a moment I never forget, considering the shock of what had happened to Cherbakov at the time...

He signed for Barcelona and became my favourite portuguese player, because I allways loved Barcelona... I watched every single entire match of the 2 first seasons...

Than I lost a lot of respect for him when he signed for Madrid, but I would still celebrate his goals and I was really stunned when he won the Champions League

For the national team I allways thought he was the best we had... A goalscorer in 96, a playmaking machine in 2000, a disapointment in 2002, and a true captain superstar in 2004...

wat a shame, he still has a lot to contribute to NT, and now Portugals mid looks a bit too young and inexperienced.
