Hi Guys,

I did more tests with patches in Fifa07.

These are the results which i am sure most will find it usefull.

Turfs + Adboards = Yes
Turfs + Adboards + Kits (no gks) = Yes but with some stadiums crashes such as Delle Alpi, San Siro Excepts only 1 Kits, Stamford Bridge 1 Kit... More stadiums to be tested but till now i only found those that caused the game to crash.

Work on these tests and if you come u p with something else please let us know in here!

San Siro and Delle Alpi work with Adboards + Flags + Nets + Kits for players (not for keepers or referee!) and not with turfs. I strongly believe this is due to the current fatbhbuilders code as the previous Fifa game accepted everything double textured (exception made of faces but those never worked in 2GF anyway)

Soon I'm going to add 2GB Balls and shoes, I don't think the shoes will work though, too many at once ingame, too much memory taken again, but I'll test first.

Turfs are the devil, I can play with them but as soon as I add kits it's crash guaranteed.

Also in Fifa2005 and 06 my stress test was playing in Bernabeu a match Real vs Barcelona with everything double textured, that one is the only that refused double textured referee kit even in Fifa06 :) I had to import a single textured linked to Real for their home matches lol

In Fifa07 I find the new Olimpia stadium from Berlin to be the ultimate stress test, playing Germany with full 2GK kits vs Italy with full 2GK kits didn't work, making the gk kits single textured worked, I am anticipating problems with that particular stadium as soon as I'll add more shoes and balls, it's a memory hog the Olimpia Stadium :)

For me San Siro only works with Adboards, One Kit (no gk), Turfs. (i didn't test the flags yet).

Della Alpi mine works only with Turfs, Adboards and no kits installed. And i have 1 gig memory.

Edit: Ofcourse that is because i want to play with turfs as i hate EA's Turfs.

GFO2007 site (german site), they are better quality nets that don't pixelate viewing them from a distance.

Ok, I have 1 Gig or Ram also, maybe someone with more RAM could post their findings also, just to see if it's interesting for us to invest in more RAM if it's worth it...

I added the small flags patch from F4F Germany also in the stadiums now, this makes a few people in the crowd wave with small team flags (as in Fifa2005) and it's working with no problem.

So atm in every stadium I tested this is working for me :

- adboards 2GA
- turf 1GT
- player kits 2GK
- keeper kits 1GK
- referee kit 1GK
- faces (up to 22 at once + subs) 1GF
- small flag patch
- Flags 2GF

soon to be tested : 2GB balls, 2GB Boots.

Regarding the horrible standard EA turf I still hope someone will release a recolor in simple texture, but it's 174 .fsh files total to modify by hand in zdata_34.big without importer, you gotta have time :) there's RL outside of Fifa too here lol.

Yes, but for keepers and referee only, downsizing the player kits would make most kit importing pointless and the game a lot more ugly... I still hope the upcoming versions of the fat rebuilder programs will make it possible to have everything in 2G though (but in Fifa2005 this was not possible, I just hope they didn't step back from Fifa06 lol)

Gutted. :(

I installed the linked patch, and now the game quits just before kick of. :(

Is there anything I can do without having to re-install the whole game from scratch?

If you mean the net patch you have to rebuild the fat file with fatbhbuilder for it to work, else you might want to reinstall the zdata with the nets from the original CD then there's no need to reinstall. (no I don't know which zdata it is, as I backup everything before a change and restore everything on the fly if something screws up)
