Sucks. I hate it, hate it, hate it. I hate it to a point that makes me post in this forum, even though I know nobody will be reading this for the next 2 months.

I used to be a Firefox guy, used it religiously in the past 2 years and passed the gospel around to all my mates. Since this new crappy and rushed version came out, though, I lost count of all the times it froze, crashed and burned on me. I'm sick of having long soccergaming posts going up in smoke never to return thanks to this piece of garbage software.

Firefox is pooh. :sb9: (N)

/doesnt crash here. And the few times it did, firefox restores the session.
Anyway, go to opera. Just as good and probably wont be crashing on your system

I'm getting annoyed with Firefox too... I only use it on my PC because it's essentially just a Safari clone which is what I was used to.. but it does way too many funny things. Sometimes when I type certain letter/puncuation combinations it brings up the search on this page box, so annoying.

v2 is a load of junk... looks weird and hardly none of the add ons or shortcuts work.

Think I kept it for less than 30 minutes, went straight back to 1.5

My personal preference is Opera. Ive used it for 2 and a half years now, and I haven't had that many problems. However, due to its small user base, I use Firefox every once in a while whenever Opera doesn't display a site properly. Other than that, its a great browser, and its ease of use makes browsing a pleasure.

One thing I loved about Firefox was the add-ons, especially the dictionary. Does Opera have that? I've just installed it but can't find anything remotely like that.

For a dictionary you can double-click the word you want, then select "dictionary" from the menu.

For long texts I'm not sure, but take a look at the "My Opera" community

Interesting stuff there. They also tend to be quite helpful.

Actually what truly makes a great browser is security and the ability/ways it gives you to manage that.
Thing is, users dont really care about that. Or better, they dont know about that and they dont have the skill to "manage" such software.

Firefox crashes occasionally on Linux (especially when it tries to execute javascript code if anybody has noticed.) But not up to a point that I'd want to try some other browser.

I'm up to index(84).php and viewforum(43).php in my downloads folder since I got FireFox2 :rolleyes:

I've googled a little for help but I haven't found much. Do any of you more experienced FF guys know the remedy to php links occasionally being treated as "Downloads"?
