First UEFA CL 06/07 Review...

Yeah sadly it's IGN.
And the reviewer felt a bit like showing how much he "knows" about futbol with that junk about Arsenal.
If he had been following the dev cycle (as he should have been) then he would have known that the rosters for all the historical teams are the current teams roster meaning no classic players (this was known ages ago) and why on earth would they include "old" stadiums for one off matches?
The off the ball movement statement is a little puzzling as I thought it was lacking in 07 but much improved in the UEFA demo.
This is way harsh too:

Slow, unresponsive and stupid, and that’s just your team mates. Tackling is too difficult and scoring is too easy, with everything in between a forgettable mess.
Again I didn't see or experience this in the demo.
Regardless, I wish this game was $49.99 at least.

Yeah, I don't necessarily agree with the review, just as I thought FIFA07 was better than the subpar reviews it got.
From what I can gather from the demo, the gameplay has definately improved. Now, it would be awesome to have the authentic rosters, stadiums and kits for all the challenges, but that's probably too much to ask for...
And it definately should be a discounted game. I'm going to trade in 07 anyway so hopefully I'll get a decent discount on the new one.

Yeah that is a good idea. Since UEFA is basically 07 on the 360.
If UEFA does have some sort of league play then it would be the exact same game minus the national teams which I never use.
I also agree with having the historical players in and stadiums but that is a lot to ask for, and seeing how they implement the historical players in their other titles I think it would be a waste of time. I am thinking specifically of Madden and NCAA. Players that sort of match with fake names and wrong numbers and hts and wts it makes it more of a headache then necessary.

First of all, this necesity of to uncredite all de fifa games rating them low and low without solid arguments....and more when the game is not released yet. So this is a totally interested thing from this guys. Are they pro PES?? may b, but this does not means that you must to b a totally noob of football, as in this case, the coments of the guy...well...you know. More when i tried for days and days the demo and the game seems really great, cool improvement of the gameplay, more pace game, smoother movements, better ball physics, better tackles (the players do not bounce like in 07), spectacular presentation of the stadiums, players, etc. Things that leave you to have a cool experience with the demo.
I did a lot of long plays using all the movements and finally scoring great goals. And its not only my opinion...share it with your 360 connected friends that tried the demo, forums, etc...
About this "small oversights in the details" well....only to say that they gave a high note to a game that is plenty of them, yes, PES6 for the 360, you only must to take a look to the crowd !!oh!! sprites!!!, or the great wide selection of stadiums, 8!!! woowww....or simply this great club names as FC London....ahemm...be serious IGN guys....please...take a look to the Puyol face on PES, ahem...

The game has a nice timing, better than 07, not slow, is the just timming (too much Virtua Tennis IGN guys???), stupid??, well, my Xavi and Deco players did it smarter, i think that yours play in the same game...true??. Difficult Tackling?? hehehe...i stole balls with Zambrota on the wings, recovering well the ball and the same player mounts the counter attack. Scoring easy?? Try harder difficult.....etc...etc..
Anyway....i still recomend to the guys from IGN to return to the school for maths... 8,5 + 8,0 + 8,5 + 5 + 7 / 5 = 7,4 and not 6. May be you guys need more sesam street videos than to play on 360

Yeah and the whole bit about special moves being absent and how many there are in Champions League.
What games is this person watching? There are a handful of players who execute "special moves" and the rest just play futbol with workmanlike efforts.
Champions League games are not pick up soccer in Brasil. They are played tight and are more grind then flair.
Whatever, I suppose this IGN guy wants everyone to do a roulette or elastico...

The demo is great! He has to be a PES fanboy. Everything in the demo had class written all over it. I'll be trading my Fifa 07 for this on tuesday.

Figures they'd let a PES fanboy do a UEFA CL review... I'd rather read a review from someone who didn't even play footy games, at least it would be more objective.

Judging by the demo, I expect 8.0/10 I gave Fifa 2007 a 7.0
