Those motherfuckers. He scored a brace on his debut, too!

Goals like this are not uncommon for me. In fact, in the game previous my CB stepped in front of his backline and intercepted a pass, but instead of touching it to the CM right in front of him, he attempted a slow and stupid backpass, essentially continuing the pass he intercepted as a perfect through ball.

This is the most common goal scored against me, at probably one every 2-3 games no matter how I mark or how tall or good my defenders are. I want SI to explain to me how this represents professional football in anyway.

Let's break it down. Right before the cross is made the opposing striker is marked by my RCB and there is a RB also in position further outside of him. As the cross comes in, the RCB leaves his marker to a leisurely jog to the near post and actually is now on the left side of the LCB. The RB, noticing that the RCB has completely left the only man in the box as the ball is drifting into his area stands still. The keeper reacts very slowly the the ball, doesn't attempt to jump and punch the ball away, but instead lets it go over his head before quickly turning and attempting a save from about 1 foot away. The striker is all alone at the far post and taps it in, the nearest defender not even in the 6 yard box.

Fuck you SI.

No, not nearly as many crosses connect in FM12, but more importantly I don't recall seeing the ball drift into the box to a suddenly unmarked player with a 1v1 header at all, or at least maybe only a couple times per season. This happens once every 3 games.

What do you guys do condition-wise? That is, what's your limit % of condition to not field a player? Because I have a short squad at Milan, and I've found myself pushing what I thought was my limit, which was like 92-93%, down to like 85%...

For easy matches (with a reasonably big squad) 95%. For the others 90%. Although that border can be stretched if the situation demands it.

Yeah I'm similar to the others. One thing is if I have a tough game and have good players that are tired, I'll play 2 of them at 90% fitness but make sure I have subs for them on the bench that can replace them at the 45-75 minute mark.

95% and to be honest, I usually won't even go below 93% for big games unless it is REALLY REALLY important, but in those cases I will be smart about giving them a day off from training after the previous match and subbing out the most important players in the second half of the previous match so I don't have to deal with sub 95% condition.

Of course, drew european champions City in the quarter finals, got trashed. Fuck this, they're absolutely unplayable, it's not even fair.

And in my first two full FM13 seasons, City have broken the ultimate record. I will now dedicate the remaining of this save game to murder them at every future chance. (unless at some point they offer a contract to my whore ass (H))
