It HAS to be the training and tactic, combined with low stamina in your squad. So... either try bringing an extra defender, even if it has to be a crap (yet utterly promising 
) youth joining in rotation, or try keeping more possession up front, essentially creating less goals 
. For the training, maybe less pig in the middles and 5-a-sides, and fix it up with summat (soz, training's not exactly my expertise).
I'm having some problems with my SG squad too, but they're all wee lads so no real surprise.

Bloody hell Tom. Why is it that you manage to find problems that nobody else comes across.
As far as Finnan being sh*te, I'm guessing by your formation that you have been playing him at CB (?)
If that is the case, it's probably just an out of position thing. I've noticed that this game is alot less flexible on playing most players out of position than previous games in the series.
When I bought Bierofka I had him at left mid instead of attacking left mid and was getting 4 or 5 ratings from him every game. Now it's 9 or 10 most games. Same kind of thing with Riise and Finnan to an extent.
You probably knew all that anyway, but what the hell. I am bored.

I use a back 3 and have no problems defensively. 5 clean sheets from the last six games. I use zonal marking for the team overall, but with the right and left CBs man-marking and all three CBs with a mentality of 4.
As for finnan, I'm not sure why I thought that you would have him at CB. Lack of sleep possibly.
