After reading the richest clubs thread I was wondering:

Which big football teams have professional teams in other sports different than football?

I mean, Barcelona has very successful professional teams also in basketball, handball and roller hockey. Real Madrid also has a very successful basketball team.

Any other club from the list has a professional team in any other big sport competitions?

I know PSG have a pro team in Handball and also Basketball i think. That are at the highest level in France.

Benfica have Handball (second Division), Basketball, Futsal (we are in the final of European Cup), Athletics, Roller-Hockey, Rugby, Volleyball, Cycling, Snooker and Table Tennis.

Olympiakos have a Basketball and Squash team i think.

Fenerbahce has (other than football) Basketball, Volleyball, Boxing, Rowing, Swimming and Table Tennis.

Our Men's basketball team is so-so. Our female basketball team is the best in Turkey. Volleyball and Rowing teams both finished 1st last year. Not too sure on the Boxing and Table Tennis though.

Steaua is good in hockey made the finals in Romania this year but we lost :(. They also have rugby, boxing and others

Olympiakos has Basketball, Water Polo, Volleyball, Swimming and Track and Field....

in addition to soccer of course.

AEK, Olympiakos, Panathinaikos, PAOK, Aris, Iraklis and Panionios (practically all the history of Greek football) have basketball teams-in fact,the first 5 of them have all won at least two European titles in basketball. All the above, except Panionios, also have volleyball teams and some of them have water-polo teams. I'm talking only about collective sports, because when it comes to individual sports, well...it might take weeks to complete the list.:)

after all the teams mentioned, no Italian teams!

I guess the Italian clubs only concentrate on football

and say Real Madrid has a basketball team, does it mean its also owned by Valdano (or whoever owns Real Madrid's soccer team)?
