Lots of bbc ones such as in our time, kermodes film podcast, from our own correspondent, news hour and world briefing, thinking matters, guardian media podcast, politics podcast, yeah there is a lot.

Doesn't that get a bit repetitive? I can't imagine you listen to every one each week. I had an hour long commute too, so I listened to a ton.

Let me suggest Grantland's Men in Blazers podcast. It's for an American audience, but I find them hilarious.

I wouldn't say I absorb everything, often they are background noise while I do things like working out in the morning before work, or mowing the lawns or stacking the dishwasher etc. I reckon I would list to most of them each week, on weekends I am often working outside so churn through quite a lot then.

Yeah, I guess I'd listen to about 12-15 a week when I had the hour long commute, and often I'd get to my Saturday commute and have run out.

Men in Blazers is pretty good I just don't like having to subscribe to the entire Grantland podcast directory, blows me.

I do Kermode/Mayo one on occasion and another one from the Guardian, the latter is monthly so I'm never really overloaded.

Yeah if you use iTunes that would be an issue. I use Stitcher on my phone and while the other ones do pop up, you don't have to download or listen to them.

The only problem is that not every podcast is on there. I had to listen to the Dave Dameshek Football Podcast on the web for awhile.

I don't watch Gossip Girl, unfortunately, nor do I watch Downton Abbey, so I'm at a loss these days. I need Game of Thrones to come back on so I understand Roger's similies better. But yes, I LOVE that podcast. I still think an AC Jimbo hosted Football Weekly is the gold standard, but Men in Blazers is nipping at its heels.
