For all those who complain about Inter's defenseive style of play...

Did you know they are in fact the top goal scorers in Serie A, with 60 goals from 32 games. 24 of which are Vieri's. And had Crespo not been injured for so long, it could have well been a lot more.

True, but remember Crespo was out for a long time.

so ?

even Trezeguet (Serie A's top scorer last season) was out for a long time. But Juve have still scored 59 goals and conceded ONLY 24 while Inter have conceded 35.

Del Piero has scored 16
Trezeguet - 8
Nedved - 8
Di Vaio -7
Camoranesi - 4
Tacchinardi - 2
Tudor - 2
Zalayeta , Thuram , Davids , Fresi , Salas , Conte and Iuliano - 1 each

so almost everyone has scored during the course of the campaign.

exactly my point, yet everyone accuses inter of being overly defensive, when the stats would indicate they are the most offensive minded team in Serie A.

Compare that to the staggering 85 from 38 games Arsenal have scored, and you'll understand what we're bitching about. :D

Salas only scored one for Juventus...oh how the mighty have fallen.:(

All Italian football is defensive but that doesn't mean its bad. Inter have scored a reasonable amount of goals this season.:)

60 goals from 32 games is less than 2 goals per game. Italy are infamous for their defensive mentality towards football. They have some of the worlds best defenders yet they sit back and defend. They really need to start pushing up the field more. Instead of sitting on 1-0 leads, look to extend that to 3-0.

Well... would you rather West Ham playing defensive, 1-0 style football and win the EPL, or play exciting, high scoring games and be relegated? :o

Comparing West Ham to Inter and Juve is just completely absurd.

Anyways, who said you would be relegated if you played attack? Have Newcastle been relegated? Did'nt think so.

Stick with Liverpool. *Sigh* Did I mention they finished 5 points ahead of you and 2 places above you?

*Awaits original West Ham slate*

Well the question was completely pathetic. Of course you're going to be on the end of the rant if you ask such stupid questions.

You say "Play defensively and you win the league. Play attack and you be relegated" - Duh!

You were lucky you got a reply out of me for such a silly question.

I never said that playing attacking football will get you relegated.

It's a very simple, theoretical question, of which would you preffer. Defensive football that gets your team the championship, or Gung-Ho and get you relegated. Simple question, but as always you like to make things escalate to a higher level :|

Well what would you rather play - Attacking football that gets you the title, or defensive football that gets you relegated?

Tell me why attacking football would get you relegated. Show me proof attacking football gets you relegated. Stop speaking in dribs and drabs failing to back yourself up.

or Gung-Ho and get you relegated

Contradicting yourself in one post is bad enough, but twice within a matter of minutes is pretty bad.
